    Well... balls.

Thank you beautiful, I just heard today that my Aunty has gone. When I said I wish I could hug them, I was referring to my aunt/uncle/cousin/grandma who are all in Australia. I hadn't made that clear before. My cousin is only 15, an only child. The funeral is Monday, my uncle's birthday is Tuesday. My grandma has now watched bother her Son's wives die. I can't imagine their pain and I want to hold them until there are no tears left. This will be a bleak Christmas for them.
  2. Argh! I forgot The Man from Snowy River! That's my tenth instead of Step up 2
  3. It is wrong, but I agree with your statement too, It doesn't matter if the man/woman is attractive or not, that should have no bearing on how you decide you want to be treated.

    Well... balls.

Thanks love, I have been in contact with my Uncle, Grand and Cousin over there. Can't do much but offer love and words. I feel like it's nothing and that I am so useless. It's tough with the kids as Lily has spoken to my Uncle on Skype, but not my Aunty. I am not sure whether to say anything to her now or wait until after my Aunty passes. The other half works until late so the whole time I am "normal happy mummy" and I don't really think about it until the kids are in bed, but I feel guilty that I do that. I want so much to give them all a hug.
  5. Oh! Felix the cat! Loved him, I named my first cat Felix
  6. Ah, Ren said if you're using a series just use it once, but since you ask my order of preferance goes.... Star Wars: A New Hope, Return of the Jedi, The Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi (I am guessing it will end up here...) THEN Revenge of the Sith, Attack of the Clones, The Phantom Menace. Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Last Crusade, Temple of Doom, Kindom of the Crystal Skull, Untitled 5th movie. OH! My tenth film is Step Up 2: The Streets
  7. Lol, I forgot about this. I can't wait for the next series, in the new year we are gonna do a re-watch, one or two per week, should last us until the very last series Also... who do you ship? For me it's Brienne and Tormund! I like Jamie somewhat, I wouldn't have objected to him and Daenerys... or she could have Gendry because I can't think of anyone (other than me) that I would want him with. There aren't enough attactive women in the show. I don't like Ayra/Sansa/Margaery. The sand snakes were pretty. OH oh oh! I LOVED PRINCE OBERYN!
  8. Aww, you guys being cutesy, haha

    Well... balls.

So I had a dream... Well a nightmare last night. In it I was in Disneyland with my other half and his brother plus all our respective children. Due to missing part of a boxing match my brother-in-law starts complaining and I ended up getting in a really huge argument with him. I then stormed off yelling over my shoulder "by the way, my aunty just died, thanks for being so understanding!" The dream felt so real and has been bothering my all day. And then just now my dad rings, turns out my Aunty in Australia is on her death bed.
  10. I have to go for the moments I held my kids for the first time and the Christmas that my other half asked me to marry him. Other then those when I was travelling on my gap year. I love the feeling, being in an airport/aeroplane and the buzz of expectation as you imagine the adventure about to unfold.
  11. I too have not been to many, the best was The Big Reunion, lots of bands from my youth re-formed for a group tour full of 90's nostalgia, was so good!
  12. I will go first, at 15 I got used to looks and comments, so many and so frequently that I remember none of them. I was quite shy and reserved so It's not like I ever flaunted myself. At 19 I had an older man ask me if I was a virgin in the middle or regular conversation. He had a girlfriend, he was a friend that I had helped pick out a gift for said girlfriend. And he used his position as security at the hostel I was staying at to record videos of me that he sent me copies of later. He never laid a hand on me but... I felt dirty. I guy at a 7-11 pulled me behind the counter and pressed me against a wall, kissing and groping me. I have so effectively mentally blocked it that I almost feel like it never happened. But I remember the terror after getting away vividly, I was crying and shaking and too afraid to ever shop there again. At the only mixed dorm hostel I ever stayed at I had jet lag and a guy came in the room asking what was wrong as he thought I was sick, I explained it was jet lag and he said I needed juice. I fell back asleep and when I woke there was a mini cartoon of juice on the bed beside my pillow. I thought that was very friendly but it was the middle of the night so couldn't say thank you at that point, I drank it and went back to sleep. Only to be woken by the guy climbing up onto my (top bunk) bed and sticking his hand down my pyjamas and into my er... lady parts. I will add that that and 7-11 groping guy were my first ever sexual experiences. I can't say I was in a hurry to get physical after those. I also worked at a pizza place once where the owner was a 40 year old guy and he had his young 18 year old fiance working there as manager. I was leaving once and he asked for a good bye kiss and presented his cheek to me, I felt a bit awkward but went along with it. Of course at the last second he turned so I ended up kissing his lips. Of course I laughed it off, blamed myself for falling for a cheap trick. Didn't make a fuss as my manager was his fiance and I didn't want her to blame me. I feel SO stupid for letting these things happen but then I think... WHY am *I* the one shouldering the blame? Anyway... yeah, please share ladies. Anything from the more 'trivial' to the full on.
  13. Saw an article this morning that I had read before but it struck me more so now my daughter is getting older. It's about a woman's day to day experiences of sexism/being sexualised. https://driftingthrough.com/2015/11/20/the-thing-all-women-do-that-you-dont-know-about/ If you can get through the fairly repetitive narrative then great but the gist is that we experience so much "casual" sexism day to day that we almost don't notice it. It paves the way for the whole "blurred lines" thing, if you just laugh off a casual arse-groping then where do you draw the line? The author says we need to point to it, because men have no idea how frequent it is and also because pointing to it will help reduce it. So... ladies? Your encounters? Friends been a little too friendly? Co-workers or boss given an un-called for comment? Cat calls from builders? Dad's mates stared at your tits?
  14. My first childbirth, my body put me into a dream like state so I don't remember much, plus the gas and air got me well spaced and I threw up wildly. Second time I was so pissed off with how long it took I shoved the etonox into my partner's hand and did it au natural. I was lucid enough to put into words that the pain was like being burned alive at the same time as being pulled apart. However, the worst pain I had was ductal thrush, misdiagnosed and lasting for 3 months, my nipples somewhat disintegated with how bad it was, got to the point that I was actively planning to off myself and trying to figure how the best way to do it given the logistics of having a 2-3 month old at the time. I actually thought that stabbing myself a bunch of times in the chest would make it feel better. Thankfully I finally got diagnosed and given the correct medication and came through it but I would take child birth over that no question! Worst male pain I ever heard about was a footballer who dislocated his hip on the pitch, ambulance man came over to pop the hip bone back into it's socket and the guy SCREAMED. And didn't stop. Turned out one of his balls was trapped in the hip joint too! YIKES!
  15. Also love pineapple in my burgers and on my gammon. And those little cheese and pineapple cocktail sticks. Pineapple wins at life. As does cheese. NOM!
  16. Sadly I am not on your team, I love reading but I prefer not having to do books now, I like reading on my phone when I can switch the backgroud to back with white text, I like the fact the bookmark is automatic... And one of my GREAT joys is reading in the bath. Bath has to be SOOO hot, not pop your toes in and they feel melty but sit in the bath and gradually increase the temp as ytour body gets used to it and then hotter again, wait and then hotter again. By the time I get out the water is still hot enough for my partner to have a bath... This tends to be steamy and wrinkles my book pages... I don't care enough about my kindle's safely to mind taking it in
  17. Growing up in Africa I didn't get the chance to do halloween, then we moved to England properly and the village we were in had voted and didn't allow trick or treaters anymore (we found out on our first ever trick or treat attempt), by then I was 13 and after that the appeal sort of faded. I can't say I ever though of it as a 'holiday', it's not treated as such here. Some people do stuff though.

  21. LOVE you for hating Faith! She annoyed me no end! I can't say I was a *fan* of Dru, but the actress did an amazing job playing her.
