I have a grievance.  Yeah, you'll be shocked. Me? Agrieved?  Yeah.

Why do some people send messages on Facebook messenger that just say 'Hi'?  They use FB messenger like an IMing thing.  I don't see it that way.  For me, the messenger is just like another e-mail. There's a little element of chatting with it, sure; I banter back and forth with certain people. But, I still don't ever think of it like an IM.

Now, I have people waving at me and sending me 'Hi', as if I'm supposed to stop and shoot the breeze.  WTF?!

lawl.

But also yes. I'm glorifying the culture of busy guys - I ain't got time for that shit. If you want to chat, start a conversation/ask a question/speak your piece. Don't just "hi" me, it makes me annoyed.

The thing is, @Phoenix, when you want to get my attention with one word, you say my name. :x That goes a loooong way in getting me to stop what I'm doing and respond.  That works loads better than the people who just send a 'hi' and EXPECT me to stop what I'm going and run to them...as if they were...you. The nerve!
