I'll be happy to join you, I'm not sure where I'm at on my own ride, somewhere in the middle maybe. Some days I think I'm good, some days I fight to function on the inside. Almost every day no one sees any of it. ~hugs @Aliea~ but one thing I learned a long time ago about the people here is you're never alone (even if I haven't reached out to any of them in a very long time)

@Moonhawk has it really been that long? I remember talking to you before you met your beautiful wife and I've always been so happy for you and the love you've found. @hirondelle I felt the same when you and your wolf found eachother. I'm just tired of being in the blood and tears part. My situation is similar with the marriages ending, mine ended 8 years ago for reasons that had nothing to do with my current relationship although the relationship was already there. And we tried for a long time to make it work as a threesome, that eventually failed but my relationship with him is still there. The eggs are still breaking on his side and his ocd need to have everything perfectly in place is breaking me in the process but he's that one person that my soul just recognises, that feeling when you're together that you can't describe and I'm not willing to give up yet even when it's tearing me apart. I can see my happily ever after I just don't know if I can get there.

If you work in this field you understand it's not always them you're interacting with. Dementia is a horrible thing to live with and it really does turn people into someone else. I feel honored when I can provide someone with some measure of comfort at the end of their life.

I really love what I do. I discovered years ago that my most fulfilling job is helping people. So therefore I'm a caregiver. Right now I'm a night shift nursing assistant in a nursing home. It's physically very hard, some days it's emotionally even harder. I've held people's hands in their last moments, I help people who can no longer help themselves, I've listened to their stories and shared their happiness and their pain, I've been screamed at and hit and called names, I've been hugged and told they love me. Some days I want to come home and cry, some days I hurt but I know every day I made a difference in someone's life even if only a little. I've been thinking about going on for nursing but combining school and full time work sucks.

So I know we have some wonderful couples here. I would love to hear your stories if you're willing to share. I guess I need some reminders that sometimes love actually works and it's worth all the bullshit you have to go through.

I might do this, I love to hear people's voices. I kind of have a thing for a good voice it just completes the package for me. I wouldn't mind maybe a place where we could leave voice messages for everyone to hear eachother too maybe? That way there's not the pressure of a phone conversation.

You know I'd be honored to join any club of yours, I just have to figure out how to do it lol
