Thought I'd put these in a different thread so people knew there might be things in here that aren't safe for your work computer. These are all done with charcoal and/or pastel unless otherwise stated, and these first ones were all done from photos on Tumblr, with the artists permission and i drew them last year.

Netflix - What are you watching right now?
Squarepeg replied to DarkAngel's topic in TV, Movies & Music
Watched the first episode of Stranger Things season 2 last night. -
I have finally taken pics of my life drawings! Though, technically, they're not "life" drawings as they were done from photos, but I did set myself time limits for each one. All I need to do now is get them off my CF card on to the computer...

That's what I thought @hirondelle.

Ha ha, @icewlf -
It went pants. Didn't even get interviewed because I didn't have a full birth certificate. They say they need it to establish that I have the right to work in the UK.

Wish me luck, guys. I've for a job interview in a couple of hours at the airport.

I was looking for some pics I took of some drawings I'd done when I found this from about 4 years ago. This has to be my favourite of @Songmistress. Unposed, natural and just beautiful.

They are not doodles. They are works of art. Beautiful, beautiful pieces. I do not have the patience to draw at the ability level I know I'm capable of. When I start I want to see the finished piece almost immediately so I rush and fuck it up. One reason I turned to photography, almost instant gratification! I had aspirations to be a graphic artist, but after only getting D in my art O Level I didn't bother pursuing it.

Last night @Songmistress and I watched Gunpowder, a historical drama based upon the events that lead up to the attempted assassination of King James I during the opening of Parliament in November 1605. It starred (and was produced and created by) Kit Harrington as Robert Catesby, the instigator of the plot, Mark Gatiss as Robert Cecil, the then Secretary of State, and Lyv Tyler as Catesby's cousin. The events became known as the Gunpowder Plot and is the reason behind the tradition of Bonfire Night here in the UK every 5th November. It's also known as Guy Fawkes Night, because he was caught beneath the Houses of Parliament with 6000 pounds of gunpowder ready to light the fuse that would blow King James and his entire government to oblivion. He was obviously tortured and executed for his part in the scheme. Anyway, the point of this post is to say it was bloody brilliant and you should watch it if you get the chance. It is quite gory in places, though. Also, what are your favourite historical dramas? Do you watch them? If you don't, why not? Curious minds want to know. Well, my curious mind does.

Mexican lasagna is what I make. Corn tortilla wraps layered with seasoned lean ground beef, refried beans and grated hard goats cheese. Originally I made it with the refried beans and salsa mixed with cheddar cheese, but you could put anything in, really. Preheat the oven to 180°C (you'll have to do the Fahrenheit conversion, I haven't got a clue!). Warm up the beans, storing occasionally so they don't stick to the pan, and brown the beef. Once the beef is done place your first wrap in an ovenproof dish, cover the wrap with a tablespoon of the beans, some of the beef and then some of the grated cheese. Cover with the second wrap and repeat. I use a total of six wraps , with the last one left bare. Place in the oven for 15 minutes. Once baked, take it out the oven, slice it up, smother it in soured cream, quacamole and salsa (or, in our case, plain fat free yogurt. Damn gastritis!) and enjoy! I'll do some pics next time I make one.

They didn't make me feel old, they made me feel annoyed! "It must be old because it's black and white." What are their parents raising them as? Philistines?!?

Joshua held her and said, "Don't lose hope." Red pressed her herself into his embrace and answered, "What if I never had any to begin with?"
