    The Northlands
Over the last few days, while I've been working on The Northlands, I've noticed something special. It always amazes me every time I notice it. And it all started back in 2004.

I was at FE and posting mostly in The Woods and for one reason or another, the board got nuked. While we were waiting for the FE to come back, which it would for a bit and something would happen and it would go away again and come back. Somebody made a post about how stupid it was that the admin couldn't keep the board up and running, and the admin flipped out and shut all of FE down.

A number of us went over to PI to post and I started talking to some people and found that they were tired with the way some of the things were run, just like I was.

So I talked to a friend of mine and decided to open my own board. That was Northlands Fantasy. A number of people joined us there and started setting up what I thought was a good community. It actually inspired other members to set up their own communities, and I helped them with that.

In about 2005, something happened and I decided to totally walk away from all the online communities. I was away for about 2 years.

During that 2 year period, I would pop in and take a look at Northlands Fantasy, and I noticed that for whatever reason, it just wouldn't die. People would come back and make a post here and a post there and just keep it ticking over with just enough to keep people, like myself, checking to see what was going on. Thank you Moonhawk.

Well, one day, Tracy ( @hirondelle ) and I decided to give it kick in the pants, change the name and change the look. This was in late 2006 early 2007.

    The Northlands was born!

But we felt that wasn't enough for those people who stuck it out and who came back and the new members, as The Northlands started to become a family. So we purchase a board with all the bells and whistles and set it up. And everybody loved it! Some people left, but for some reason, most people found it hard to stay away. Including myself.

    Then we lost the board

And we waited, and people offered to help us with getting the board back and with getting a new board. We decided to wait and ended up waiting about 5 months but the old board never came back. We finally got tired of waiting and decided to purchase a board with all the bells and whistles again. And again a number of the family offered to help.

Once we got the board up and working and invited you all here, you flooded the place with your happiness and love, and showed us how much you loved The Northlands! And some of the family members who never went to the Original Northlands came back to this one.

At least once a day I hear from a member how much they love The Northlands, or how much they love us.

We decide to create a donate button for those people who wanted to help out The Northlands and before we had it finished we had donations. We couldn't believe it! And then just today, I had new member of the family tell me that all the good members of FE came here. That's why this place is great. I would have to agree with that member.

    Thank you all.

Thank you all. You all mean so much to us!

Well, we are slowly getting things done in real life and I am getting things done here at NL.

    IN REAL LIFE

I have filled my taxes for 2008, even though they are a little bit late, you get an automatic 2 month extension when you live out of the country, and I don't owe any late fees.

We've made an appointment to go talk with an U.S. Immigration lawyer in Bangkok on July 20th, so we can find out our options. We had a bit of a scare concerning immigration just the past week. We contacted an immigration lawyer that was supposed to be here in Chiang Mai, they have an office here, but the lawyer doesn't come up here, and she told us that it will take about a year and I will have to make almost 4 times what I do now . But we are talking to the original lawyer and we are going in to talk to them and find out what he has to say.

Also when we go to Bangkok, I will be able to talk to my former employer and hopefully get something saying about how much I made a month from them, so I can file my past taxes, and get that taken care of.

    ON THE NORTHLANDS

I have finally finished something I've been working on here for a special foxy friend and I can start working on Original NL Skin, Wolf & Goddess Skin and the 18+ Skin, which I'm excited to be working on.

Sorry everybody, there isn't a lot in this post, but I just wanted to give an update, lol. Enjoy

    Karate
As most of you know, back in March, I had knee surgery, which I wrote a blog post about back on September 14th, 2020.  Since before that, I've thought about going back to martial arts.  There is a place near me that teacher Brazilian Jiujitsu (BJJ), but to I have a few issues with going to that place, which I won't get into here.  To go along with that, I really wanted to go back to karate.

There are basically two (2) different disciplines in karate.  There is Japanese karate and Okinawan karate.  Here is a one of my favorite youtube people for martial arts, Jesse Enkamp, talking about 10 differences between Okinawan karate and Japanese karate.

Now, there isn't anything wrong with Japanese karate or Okinawan karate, it's just that Okinawan karate was where I got my start when I still lived in the States.

Now, in Thailand, I studied Japanese karate.  To be more specific, I studied JKS Shotokan Karate, which I really do enjoy.  I studied for about 3 years.  You can see my belt tests here with these videos:

10th kyu (White belt) to 8th kyu (Orange belt) test:

8th kyu (Orange belt) to 5th kyu (1st purple belt) test:

5th kyu (1st purple belt) to 4th kyu (2nd purple belt) test:

4th kyu (2nd purple belt) to 2nd kyu (2nd brown belt) test:

2nd kyu (2nd brown belt) to 1st kyu (3rd brown belt) test:

1st kyu (3rd brown belt) to Shodan (1st black belt) test:

I felt so honored when I achieved my Shodan belt.  The problem was, my life got busy, and I moved away from karate for a bit, and when I did come back, I didn't agree with some of the things that I saw happening at the dojo, and I had a really hard time with that and I ended up walking away from the dojo.  I came back a year or so later, and it was pretty much the same, just fewer students.

Fast forward to November 2020, and I feel like I'm ready to go back to karate, actually, I'm kind of craving it.  So I went back to karate on October 22nd:

https://www.facebook.com/Timberwolf1771/posts/10157352946052676 <=== My FB post about it.

I have since done a total of 4 classes, with last night being my 4th class.  Now, I can't do as deep of stances as I used to, not yet anyway, and I can't quite move the way I used to, but I will get there.  It's just going to take some time, and I need to be patient.  Katas are slowly starting to come back, and I'm seeing different layers of the katas again which is nice.  Also last night, we were recorded doing the kata teki-shodan.

    teki-shodan.mp4
I'm really happy to be back doing karate, and I'm looking forward to doing more.  I'm really looking forward to doing more karate.  I don't know if I will do any more tests, but I will keep learning and finding more and more layers to the katas.

Always Remember:  You should do the things you love, even if you don't get the chance to do so in the autumn of your life.  Still do it, because you love it.

Well, things have been a bit busy for me around here. As you all know, I've recently finished a number of skins, which I am very happy with. Just after finishing my latest skin, and just before heading to Bangkok, our desk top computer crashed. Well, the C-Drive crashed. Now that wouldn't be so bad if it was just the software, because then we could have gotten all the information off of the drive. But nope, the actual hard disk itself crashed. Which means we lost everything on that drive! All our pictures were on that drive. Everything saved in our network is gone as that was also on that drive. Now the good thing about that is this, the hard disk was guaranteed for 5 years, so we get a new 320 Gb hard disk for free. And we wanted to get a 1 Tb hard disk. So what happened is we now have a 1Tb hard disk and a 320 Gb hard disk, plus we will have a 320 Gb external hard disk. All our music and the movies we had on the other hard disk are fine. We actually have almost 200Gb of music, so that made me happy.

Now, on to other computer things. I have recently been working on a new main page, history page and friends page. The new main page and history page are finished and they look pretty good. We are very happy with them. I'm still working on the new Friends page, and that is looking great. I'm just waiting on a few things from a few people to put the finishing touches on it. Once that's done, I will upload all the new pages.

Now, onto non-computer things, lol. Our paper work is coming together really well. We just have a few more things to take care of, mainly my back taxes, but I got the paperwork from the company I worked for for 2006-2007 saying what I was making and I've contacted the CPA for American taxes to get those taken care of. Now I'm just waiting on him to get back to me.

I have to give you some back story for this before I get to far into this.

Since the start of the Swine Flu scare, I've been kind of taking the piss out of it. Someone coughs and "OH NO, IT'S SWINE FLU! SWINE FLU, SWINE FLU!" That type of thing. At work we were told that if a child coughs a lot, sneeze s a lot or has a runny nose we should ask their parents to take them home. So I would joke cough and say I've got swine flu, can I go home. And things like that. I was also scoffing at people wearing masks, because it's a virus and the mask is totally useless for this. They are to help prevent dust inhalation.

Well, this past Friday, I was at work, planning my lesson, and feeling worse and worse as the day went on. I started getting body aches and feeling hot and having a head ache. We sat down to watch a movie and eat dinner, and all I could eat were my mashed potatoes and I barely finished those. You have to remember that I love pizza, and we order pizza on Thursday, I eat half on Thursday and eat the other half on Friday, so me not wanting to eat pizza is kind of scary in itself. I decided at about 8 that I would go to sleep and hope that I felt better in the morning as I had to teach kids all day Saturday and Sunday. Well, about 9 I got my first bout of diarrhea and about every 1 hour or less I was back in the bathroom. At about 11 I told @hirondelle that there wasn't any way I would be able to make it to work to teach for Saturday, and she should text our boss and the most senior full time teacher in the morning to let them know that I wouldn't be in. At about 2 we decided that I would go to the hospital and get checked out, and I started thinking that this was it. I got it. After all this time taking the piss out of Swine Flu, I got it.

Stupid me didn't think about it until about 5 in the morning that I should get some water to drink, so I stumbled down the stairs to get some water, and stumble back up stairs to bed, taking drinks of the water every time I woke up.

I finally stopped rushing to the toilet at about 6 am and @hirondelle woke me up about 9 to see when I wanted to go to the hospital. She also wanted to get some food for me to eat since I was probably going to be quarantined to the house. I told her to go do her shopping and I would just sleep some more until she got back. I was beat, my whole body ached, my head was pounding, every time I moved my eyes to look some where, they hurt, and my bum hurt from going so much. She got back I showered and we went to the hospital to see the doctor. I got checked into the hospital and they directed us to place to take my vitals. I felt like shit to say the least, lol. She checked my temp, which was high, checked my blood pressure, which was high, which isn't normal for me, and my heart rate was high, again, which wasn't normal for me. I shuffled back out into the hall and waited for the doctor to see me.

I went in to see the doctor, and this is when he informed me about my vitals, and said I looked really weak. Asked me a few questions and asked me to get up onto his table. He felt my belly and told me he was going to admit me at least over night. He told me I was dehydrated and he wanted to get fluids back into me. So I went back out into the hall with the nurses help to let @hirondelle know what was going on, and wait for a room.

They brought me a wheel chair, which is the first time I've ever been given a wheel chair in a hospital. We waited around for a bit and then they took us up to my room. They also told @hirondelle that she can stay in the room with me, that there weren't visiting hours. They gave me some scrubs to change into because it would be easier for them to put the IV in me and such. So I changed, and they started getting things ready for me. One nurse came in and wanted to know what I wanted to eat for lunch and gave me an ice pack for my head ache and the other nurse started preparing the IV and the needle.

The only problem was the bed was a little small for me, lol, but that's OK, because as you can see in the picture, I had pretty nurses to take care of me.

I spent most of the day sleeping, waking up every time somebody came into the room. @hirondelle called Fon to ask her if she could take Spike since I would be spending at least a night in the hospital. After I got settled in, @hirondelle decided to head to the house to get a few things, like a book for me and clothes and such, and some things for herself, love the cats and to let everybody know what was going on, my family here at the NL and my family back in the States.

After about 3 hours I had to use the toilet again, so I shuffled my way to the toilet and was doing my business. While I was in there, one of the nurses came in to the room, so I coughed to let her know I was in the bathroom. This is our conversation

Nurse: Oh you are in the toilet? Pee pee?
    Me: Yes
    Nurse: Poo poo?
    Me: Yes
Nurse: Remember sample. Call us when you are finished.
    Me: OK.

The nurses were coming into the room at the most every hour to check my temp, blood pressure and heart rate. For lunch, I ordered a ham and cheese omelet, and it was the nastiest omelet and bacon I've ever had. For dinner I ordered a BLT sandwich. Before my dinner came, the doctor came to see me to let me know what my blood tests showed. I got a bacterial infection, which is from food, which is why I was running such a high fever and had so much diarrhea. And he asked how I was feeling.

When my sandwich arrived, I found that I didn't get a BLT, I just got a bacon sandwich with this nasty sweet Thai mayonnaise. @hirondelle, the Goddess that she is, took all the bacon off of my sandwich and put it onto the toast that they gave me, then forced me to eat half of it, lol.

In the morning, the doctor came in again to see me and to tell me that my blood pressure had gone back to normal, my temp was back to normal and so was my heart rate. I still had to take the last bag of fluid, but I looked better. I told him that I was also feeling better.

@hirondelle decided to run home and get herself a change of clothes (she forgot to bring some for herself) and to check up with everybody online. While she was at home, the doctor came in again to see me and to see how I was doing. And asked if I wanted to go home today. I said yes, and he said OK. You can go home this after noon, but no fruit or vegetables for a few days and drink lots of fluids, and relax and that he was going to send some anti-biotics home with me.

So we came home and I napped for a bit, and @hirondelle made me the best chicken noodle soup I've ever had. I'm feeling much better. Still have a bit of a head ache and a sore belly, but I feel good.

And the best thing of all........

    I DON'T HAVE SWINE FLU!!

Though it was confirmed at work that that was what I had.

And a very strong reminder to me never to get anything from the T-Zone at work ever again.

Over the last few days I've been kind of busy here at The Northlands. I've been fixing the blogging skins here. For some they are missing some images and for some, the coding for IE was all messed up. Over all, I've gotten it all cleaned up. I've got the missing images taken care of, and I've worked out how to add personal logos for all our hosted blogs. The Northlands is starting to shape up and look the way I want it to, so I'm feeling really good about all this. I've created personal logos for my blog here with a logo for each skin, so when you look at my blog with one skin, you will see one logo, and when you look at my blog with another skin, you will see another logo.

Next step is to clean up all the emotes for the dark skins. They look great on the light skins, but on the dark skins, some of them look really bad because they have white lines around them and makes them looks dirty and messed up. So that's my current task for The Northlands. I really enjoy doing all this for The Northlands and it's members, I just need to remember that I also need to post and talk to people. I hear that they miss me, but I can't always figure out why, lol, J/K.

But I will try to be around more, and keep make blog posts. Just remember that if I go over a week, somebody give me a kick up the backside and tell me to make a blog post.

I have a lot to say and I will try to break this up into sections for you, lol. Please enjoy the read.

    My birthday

Well, let's see. Today is my birthday and I got some lovely well wishes for so many people today. I feel truly loved. In my 40 years on this earth, I have met so many amazing people. Some have just traveled in and out of it, some have traveled in and out and back in again, some have even stuck around awhile. Some of you I have met in real life first and have gotten back into touch again through the wonders of the internet. Some I've met online and have had the wonderful opportunity to meet in real life. And other still, I've met online and hope to one day meet in real life. And there are those of you that are my real life family that I talk to on the phone or skype or emails or facebook. I consider each and everyone of you a member of my family. You all mean so much to me and I hope to keep all in my life in one way or another. I love you all! Thank you so much for being apart of my life and enriching it in ways you could never know. And thank you all for your birthday wishes.

    Non Smoking

Well, it's now been 17 days with no cigarette and 11 days with no patch. I'm feeling great. I no longer feel like I'm dying when I walk up a lot of steps, I have more energy then I've had in a very long time, and I'm sleeping so much better then I did when I was smoking. One of the nice things about not smoking is the fact that when I go to bed at night, I can now sleep on my back. I love sleeping on my back. When I was smoking, I couldn't lay on my back to go to sleep. If I tried that, I started to get sick to my stomach like I was on one of those spinning rides (which I happen to love). But now that I've stopped smoking, I can fall asleep on my back again and I love it! I also love the fact that when I wake up in the morning, I don't feel the need to have a smoke just to get going. It's so nice! And, as of right now, it's to the point that when I smell a cigarette, I don't have those bad cravings for them. And there are times that when I smell somebody after they've had a smoke, they smell of stale smoke just kind of hangs on them, and I feel kind of bad knowing that I used to smell like that. I don't ever want to smoke again.

    Life

This is only partially really considered life. The gift @hirondelle is giving me for my birthday this year is she is buying me a tattoo. I've put a lot of thought into this tattoo and the type of image that I want. It's a combined zen circle and ying & yang. I'm really excited to have it done. I can't wait! When I have it done, I will make sure to have pictures taken of it and post them here.

More things to deal with life:

In February, we are going up to Chiang Mai for a few days. I will be relaxing for these days while my love will have to work. Sorry love, but I'm looking forward to the time off.

Also, in the beginning of March, I will be making a visa run (I hate these) but I will be going back onto a dependents visa which is a good thing.

And the final thing for the life section of this post, we are headed to the States for the first 2 weeks of April. @hirondelle is going to finally be able to meet my kids! I'm really excited for this to happen. Also, we will be driving to New York, so she can meet my father, one of my sister and my nephew. Then we will be driving to Minnesota so she can meet the rest of my family. That's going to be so awesome! I'm really looking forward to that.

    Teaching

A teacher. How I love it! Right now, I'm working like a buffalo teaching a lot. In the mornings right now, I'm teaching 15 five year olds for 3 hours. We are running a special camp called Around The World in 10 days where we teach them a little bit about 9 different countries. They have a little passport that they made up, and a photo album to put the pictures they will cut out for the places "they have visited". They love it so far, and I've really enjoyed teaching them. This past Friday, I taught them for 5 hours. 3 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. I will be doing this again tomorrow, Thursday and Friday. I will also be teaching my normal classes, lol, so I'm teaching a hell of a lot right now and honestly, I'm kind of beat, so I'm looking forward to my time off in February. But don't get me wrong. I love teaching. Just a little tired about now.

Well, I think that's about all for right now. As things come up, I will try to keep you all posted.

    Thanks for reading.

Stay safe and enjoy life! And most of all, try not to worry about how somebody else is thinking about you. It will just cause you head and heart ache. Worry about making yourself happy!

    hugs and licks to all

**WARNING – THERE WILL BE SOME GRAPHIC IMAGES OF THE INSIDE OF MY KNEE—WARNING**

So, to start things off, I want to give a bit of a history.  I’ve led a pretty active lifestyle.  I learned how to skate when I was 2 and started playing hockey when I was 4 and I played until I was 18.  I also played soccer for a year, baseball for about 4 years, softball off and on throughout the years, American football for 3 years, professional wrestling for about 3 years, and martial arts off and on since I was 6 years old.  Also, I just started playing hockey again when I was 46 and played regularly for the last 3 years.

To say that I’ve had injuries in my life is a bit of an understatement.  I’ve had sprained ankles, torn ligaments in my fingers and strained knees, just to name a few things.

The first time I had any serious issues was when I was in the Navy.  This would be back in about 1991 or 1992.  I started having some pain in my left knee, and then I noticed that I had a lump on the side of my knee.  I went to the corpsman on base to have it checked out.  At first, they told me it was just strained ligaments and gave me some ibuprofen.  That went on for a few weeks, but it didn’t help anything.  I remember looking in their medical book and seeing something the describe all the symptoms that I was having, so I questioned him.  He didn’t like that very much, but I ended up being right.  They eventually did send me for an MRI and found out that I had a cyst on my knee.  The civilian doctor they sent me to decided that he wanted to go in and look into my knee to see what was causing the cyst.  Come to find out, part of my meniscus was deteriorating, which was causing the cyst, so he removed that part of the meniscus and the cyst ended up going away.  Now, I wasn’t a very good patient, and that night, I was at the pool hall on base and was shooting pool, walking around the pool table.  Not good for healing, but things worked out OK.

Now, it’s been 29 years since that surgery, and I’ve played softball, practiced and taught yoga, studied Tai chi, studied Muay Thai, went back to karate and earned my Shodan (first degree black belt), gone back to ice hockey and played ball hockey.  All of which I’ve enjoyed.  I’ve had some bumps and bruises along the way, but nothing major.

As a matter of fact, the worst injury that I had (until recently) was when I strained a ligament in my finger, which I did during a karate class.  Was actually kind of funny.  I thought I had dislocated my finger, so I kept trying to pop it back into join, but nothing was happening.  It didn’t hurt at that moment, so I kept trying.  I showed my Sensei, and he said I should go to the doctors, which I did the next day.  Strained ligament in my finger, which cause the end to drop.

After that, I had tendonitis in my shoulder, but that’s wasn’t too bad, they just had me do rehab and they gave me a shot, and some exercises to do.

About a year and a half ago, I was playing in an ice hockey tournament here in Bangkok, in one of the games, I clashed skates with another player and when down on my knees hard and popped my left knee out of joint, but when I stood back up, it went right back in.  I didn’t think much about it as this isn’t the first time that’s happened.  It happens when it pops out, while it’s out and when it goes back in, then it feels fine.  It was sore after the game, but nothing bad.  I finished up playing in the tournament and playing in the Bangkok Ice Hockey League (BIHL) and playing shinny every week for the Flying Farangs.  Some days, it was sorer than others and it would pop out of joint more often than before.  It was popping out of joint at least once a day.  That was a horrible feeling.  Sometimes, I would be sitting at my desk at work and pull my foot in under my chair, and my knee would pop out of joint.  I would have to slowly push my foot back out, sometimes with my other foot, just to get it to pop back into joint.

Then, this past February (2020), I was asked to put together a team for an ice hockey tournament in Chiang Mai.  This was the first time I had put together a team for a tournament, so it was pretty exciting.  I decided to take a couple of weeks off from hockey to rest my knee before the tournament.  After the first game, my knee felt pretty good.  During the second game, I did something to my knee, I don’t know what, but it was sore after the game. It was progressively sorer after each game.  When we got back to Bangkok, I decided to take a month off hockey to rest it.

After I was feeling up to it again, there was an open shinny night for the SHL, so I decided to sign up for it and play.  After the game, I was feeling great.  I didn’t take any bad falls or twists or anything like, and my knee felt really good.  The next day, I felt great as well.  No pain or any issues.  This SHL shinny was on a Sunday.

That Wednesday, I had a demo lesson with a new school.  I was in a separate room, with some other teachers, waiting my turn to put on my demo lesson, sitting in a little chair made for kindergarten students.  I stood up to walk around and was suddenly in so much pain.  There was definitely something wrong with my knee.  I couldn’t put any weight on my leg because my knee felt so bad.  I tried walking it off, but nothing helped.  When it was my turn to do the demo lesson, I apologized to the school and let them know that I had hurt my knee somehow, but I still did the demo lesson.  After that, I got back on my bike and had to ride 45 minutes home.  When I got home, I relaxed and laid down a bit, in hopes that the pain would go away.  After about an hour, the pain didn’t go away.  I was starting to worry that I had done something to the ligaments in my knee.  Tore my ACL or MCL or something.  We decided to go to the hospital to see a doctor.

The doctor was pretty cool.  His name is Cholawish Chanlalit.  He listened to everything I said, gave my knee a thorough check, twisting it and turning it, which hurt like a sombitch, and then send me for an x-ray.  As is usual with things like this, the x-ray didn’t show much, and he put an order in for an MRI.  He also put in for me to see a physio therapist one time and got me some crutches to use.  After my MRI, they doctor told me that there was some cartilage damage in my knee, and he wanted to go in and clean out the damaged cartilage as well as perform microfracture surgery, which is where they drill small holes into the bone to get the marrow blood to bleed into the space where the cartilage has been removed.  What this does is it creates a cushion like cartilage from the blood, but the blood must set, so you can’t walk on that leg for a couple of weeks.

What the MRI didn’t show was that my meniscus was torn.  So, when he was inside my knee, he cleaned up the cartilage, drilled the holes in the bone and then stitched the torn piece of meniscus back in place.

Because of this, I couldn’t walk for 7 weeks.  From not walking on my left leg for 7 weeks, I had to then rebuild all the muscle in my left leg and around my left knee.  This felt like such a long healing process to me, and the healing process had just begun.

So, I was on crutches for 7 weeks, and the good thing about this is that it was during our lockdown period, so I couldn’t really go anywhere anyway.  Once I got the go ahead to start walking, I started walking as much as possible.  Walking with a heavy limp, but still walking.  Going up and down stairs and damn did it hurt, but I kept doing it.  I also started seeing a physiotherapist to help rebuild the strength in my leg the correct way.  This was so difficult for me, because I’ve always had fairly strong legs, and I felt so weak in my left leg.  Just doing body weight squats was really difficult for me, but I kept working on it.  I did lots of walking, sometimes maybe a little bit too much walking, but it felt good.  I still wasn’t allowed to skate yet, which sucked.  The doctor told me that maybe by I will be able to skate and play hockey in October.

So, after about 13 weeks of physiotherapy, my doctor said I could start skating and rollerblading again, because it is a non-impact on the knee joint.  I waited about 2 weeks, and then I tried to go rollerblading, but I was told to stop, because they didn’t allow rollerblading in the park we were at.  Then, a week later, I went with some friends to one of the local ice rinks to take them skating for the first time.  I didn’t go fast, and I didn’t go hard into turns or stopping or anything, I just took it easy.  It felt so good to be back on the ice.

These last few weeks, the strength in my left knee seems to be almost as strong as the strength in my right knee, which is great. This is all to how hard my physiotherapist has worked me.  There have been so many times, especially lately, after our sessions, my legs have felt so weak, but that’s good.  It’s nice to feel the strength and mobility returning to my knee.

Well, sorry for being such a long post, I hope it wasn’t too boring, but I had a lot to say.

This year, for New Years, we decided to do something special.  @hirondelle, Stef and I decided to spend the turning of the decade at one of @hirondelle and mine favorite places.  We wanted to go down to Krabi to Railay.  One of the nice things about Railay is that it is on a peninsula where you can walk from the east side to the west side in about 5-10 minutes, so you can get amazing sunrises in the morning, hang out at some awesome beaches and then get an incredible sunset.
@hirondelle and I have been to Railay two other occasions.  The first time was when @hirondelle took me there 14 years ago before I started working in a school for the first time.  We went there in May, which is the end of the season, so there were very few people.  We stayed at Railay Bay Resort & Spa.  The first time we stayed there, it was so basic.  They had like 3 or rows of cottages/bungalows and a row of multi-level suites.  There was a dirt path that ran down to the beach.  The beach was amazing, and on our second day, we found this lovely little coffee shop that made fresh coffee.  You could hang out there, and if you didn't have something to read, they had a shelf full of books for you to take a look at.  The second time we went, it was in October, which was the end of high season, and we stayed at the same resort, Railay Bay Resort & Spa, but everything changed so much.  the villas were much nicer, and most of the villas had their own private out door jacuzzi.  It was still really nice.
This time, when we decided to go, we looked at Railay Bay Resort & Spa, but it was so expensive, we decided to stay at a resort just north of Railay Bay & Spa at a place called Railay Phutawan Resort, which is in the mountains a little bit, which was cool.  They also had a lovely little cliff/mountain that people could learn to climb on, which was pretty cool.  I took a great nighttime photo of it.
One of the lovely things about staying at Railay, is you can't drive to it.  You have to fly into Krabi town, go to the shore, and get a boat to Railay.  So we arrived at Railay Bay East, and climbed into a trailer attached to a tractor and drove us up to the resort.  When we got up there, our room wasn't quite ready yet, so they had us go up to the bar area, which kind of over looks all of Railay East and West.  Beautiful view.  We sat there for a bit and had a drink and relaxed.
Our first day in Krabi, we spent just unwinding and recovering from getting up so early for our flight to Krabi.  It was nice though.
Our second day, Stef took us to this beach that previously could reach by taking a sea kayak to.  Apparently, they made a walk way from Railay Bay East to this beach just south of Railay Bay East and West.  All I can say, is this is the most packed I've ever seen this beach to be.  I couldn't believe it.  I've not seen this many people on a beach since I'd been to Misquamicut Beach in Rhode Island back in the early 90's.  We did eventually find a nice place under some trees back up from the beach.  Stef and I did have a quick swim in the sea, but Stef was being stung by jellyfish larvae, so we decided to get out.
After a bit, we decided to go have some pizza at a place Stef knew about on the East Bay.  We some pizza for lunch and some beers and relaxed.  I got some some great pictures of Stef and @hirondelle while we were at the pizza place.  I tell you, I'm one of the luckiest men in the world.
After we finished our pizza, Stef wanted to take me to this massage place that she went to the last time she was in Krabi, but it was closed, so we wandered back up East Bay and found another place.  We both got oil massages and they were really good.  After our massages, Stef and I headed back to the hotel to get @hirondelle to go have dinner.  Stef fancied a burger, so we found a place on Walking Street that did burgers with a guy that playing guitar, so we decided to eat there.  The music was decent, but the burgers were kind of shit.  First, they didn't have cheese, and then when we got them, they were really small.  At least I had some great company.  ❤️
The next day, we hung out around the resort mostly, but then in the evening, we decided we wanted to go have pizza at the pizza place again for dinner.  The reason why we decided on the east side, was because there were some Muay Thai fights going on at one of the local bars, and we wanted to go see them.  Once we finished dinner, that's where we went.  We saw a few fights, and they were pretty good.  No knockouts that we saw, but still really good.
For our fourth day, we walked around a bit, but we had decided to have dinner at Railay Bay Resort & Spa.  When @hirondelle and I stayed here before, it was one of our favorite places to eat, because they had the best food really. and they usually have a great seafood spread.  Sadly, they didn't have have seafood, but we ordered some good food, and I got some great sunset pictures.
The next day, was our final day.  It was New Years Eve, and our resort said we could book a table at their New Years Eve dinner, so we decided to have dinner at the resort, but I also wanted to try the kra paow burger at our coffee place, so we decided to go there for lunch.  That burger was awesome!  That night, we had dinner at our resort.  The food was really good and after dinner they had a fire show.  The fire show was cool, but the show was done with like teenagers.  Was still cool to watch.
After that, we worked our way down to the beach to watch the New Years fireworks display.  The three of us hung out and chatted while we waited.  The fireworks were awesome!  I loved them.  Once the firewoks were done, we headed back up to the room.
The next morning we caught our boat and headed back to Krabi to catch our flight back to Bangkok.

As you all know, I have gotten back into hockey.  I started off doing things for the Siam Hockey League (SHL).  After that, I got some gear and started playing shinny hockey.  For those of you that aren't Canadian, that means pick up hockey.
Then I was invited to play hockey on the Flying Farangs in a few tournaments.

Then in 2018, I was asked to play for Bunteng (which I'm told means 'to have fun').  The first year I played with them, we did better than the year before, which is what I hoped for.  The year before I played with them, they took 2nd to last place in the bottom division.  The first year I played with them, we took second place in the lower division, so that was a step up.
For 2019, Bunteng changed their name to Lion State.  With the name change, we got new jerseys, which you can see @hirondelle wearing at the right.  Pretty cool.  I was excited that they wanted me to be on their team again.  See, The Bangkok Ice Hockey League (BIHL) does things differently than the SHL.  The SHL has a draft every year.  They take all the players that sign up for full time play, put them in to a pool, and the four (4) captains do a draft, based on how they did in the previous season.  The BIHL allows the teams to come with their teams intact.  The BIHL allows each team to have up to seven (7) foreign skaters, the rest must be Thai.  Last year we had 3 foreign players on our team; myself, Scott Murray and Ralf Ditmer.  This year, I helped out captain, Ang Rattanachot, find 2 more foreign players.  I brought him Janne Kankaanpaa and Jesse Starosta.
My team, Lion State seemed ready to go for our first game, and we were teamed up against a new team named Ursus.  I found out after this game that this was the first time they had played on a full size North American rink.  We won this game 9-0!
Well, karma came back to get us, and we played Warriors A, they handed up a solid loss, we lost 0-7.  Ouch!  But, for the past 4 years or so, they have been the second best team in the league, and the last time we played them, last year, I think we lost like 14-0 or something like that, so we didn't feel too bad.
Next up, we played Nakaraj Inter, which is the better of the two Nakaraj teams, and we lost 9-1.  Ouch.  That was a tough loss.  Next we played Young Ducks, and we did really well again.  We won this one 5-3, which put our record at 2-2.  For the final game of this portion of the season, we played Grizzly Bears.  Again, we really came together as a team and we won this one 5-1, finishing off the first half of the season 3-2.
At this point in the season, the separate the teams into an upper division and a lower division.  Because of our number of goals and wins, we were bumped into the upper division, which meant we would be playing the better teams in the league.  The teams in this division were Warriors A, Thunder, Nakaraj Inter, Big Bulls, Lion State and Greatest Ice.  Really, my team, Lion State and Greatest Ice shouldn't have been in this division, but oh well.  We decided to make the best of it.
In the first game of the second half of the season, we faced off against Nakaraj Inter again.  We were expecting to get our asses handed to us again, but we came out strong and actually led for most of the game.  When we got to the third period, we were ahead 3-2.  We ended up losing in the third period 5-4, which wasn't too bad at all.
Next we played Warriors A again and they really dominated us, and beat us 13-0.  Ouch!  Our next game we went head to head with last year's champions, Thunder.  Another game we got dominated in and lost 11-1.
Our next game was against Greatest Ice.  This is a team we should have beat, but we just couldn't get our game going, and I was so flat.  We ended up losing this one 3-2 in the closing minutes of the game.  Very disappointing.  Our final game of the season we had to play Big Bulls.  I have a lot of friends on this team, and they are better than us, but we really pulled together in this game and played better than we had all year and we ended up winning this game in the third period 4-3!  We couldn't believe it.
The teams were now separated into three divisions; Elite Division, Division 1 and Division 2.  We did well enough to be in Division 1.
    Division 1 Teams:
OT-Yaksa Warriors B Greatest Ice Lion State As there are only four (4) teams, we only had to play two (2) games.  Our first game was against OT-Yaksa.  A team we lost to last year.  We were on a high from beating the Big Bulls, and it really pulled into this game.  Things got a bit physical in this game as well, and I got into a bit of a scrum in front of the net when they scored a goal.  They scored because they slashed our goalie to knock the puck loose, which upset me, and caused me to hit that player and sending him flying.  His team didn't take too kindly to this, and that resulted in a bit of a scrum in front of my net.  There were no penalties called, but things heated up.  In the end, we held on and won this game 5-3, which sent us to the finals to play for first place!
In the final game, we faced off against Warriors B.  This was a hard fought game, not really too physical like the game against OT-Yaksa, but it really went back and forth, but in the third period we pulled it off and won 5-4!
Talk about a fun season!  I can't wait for next season.

So, I've been talking about how I need to lose weight.  And I even talked about how I need to lose weight in the My fat ass thread here at NL.  I figured this would be a good way to keep track of my weight loss.

So, one of the things I decided I was going to do a few things.

Drink less beer.  When there is a game, football or hockey, on TV, I drink two to three beers.  I decided, that no matter what is going on, I'm going to only drink one beer a day at the most. Drink less pop.  I don't generally drink a lot of pop any more.  I used to drink a lot of it, but I'm going to keep it down.  One of the things I'm going to do is, on the days, game days, instead of drinking two or three beers, I will drink one pop.   I'm also going to start doing yoga again.  A minimum of three Sun Salutation As a day.
On thing I plan on doing is keeping a weekly log of how things are going.  If I miss a week, please feel free to give me a nudge to get back on track.

So, as of this morning, I weight 237 lbs (108kg), which is about 20 lbs (9kg) less than I thought I was.  I thought I was up near 260 lbs (118kg), so that's good.  That doesn't mean I'm not going to work as hard.  It just means I have less to lose than I thought.

The start of my weight loss was yesterday.  There was a hockey game, and I only had one beer, and I had 1 coke.  When @hirondelle and I went to bed last night, we both did 3 Sun Salutation As.  It actually felt pretty good to do them.  I've gotten pretty shit at doing them, but it felt good at doing them.

There are a few reasons that I've decided to lose weight.  First and foremost, I just want to feel healthier.  I'm out of shape, and I know that once I start losing weight, the right way, I will start getting back into shape at the same time.  Another reason for me to lose weight, is it will help improve my hockey game again.  I feel I have gotten slower since my knee surgery and all the lock downs and gaining weight.  It really sucks, because I was starting to get decent.  The final reason for me wanting to lose weight is because my knee has started to feel sore, and losing weight will take some of the stress off of my knee.  So getting in shape, taking stress off of my knee, I think this will set me back on the correct path of getting my skill level back up for hockey.... I hope.

Well, that's all for my first post.  See you next week some time.

Always Remember:  If you set your mind to it, you can do it.

    Weight Loss Update
So, here I am, 5 weeks in.  Honestly, on this day, I’m feeling kind of down.  I haven’t lost any weight, and for the past two weeks, I’ve only done a few sun salutations, and my hockey game, back on April 21st, I had a hockey game, and my knee felt so bad that I thought my hockey career was going to be finished at the end of this season.  I feel like the guy in this picture, and I'm not really very happy about it.

One good thing that has happened, during and after my hockey game on the April 28th, my knee felt loads better, but I still haven’t done much of anything else.  I have been eating better a little better, which probably helps.

I know this isn’t a race, and it’s better to lose weight at a moderate pace instead of a fast pace, but honestly, I am feeling a just a bit down.  I’m sure there are other contributing factors to this, but I thought it would be best to be honest about how I’m feeling here, nullas this is what this space is for.  I’m sure that in a few days, I will feel much better.

I’m going to keep at it and do my best to make a blog post about it about every week to two (2) weeks.  As I said, I’m sure that I will get out of this funk in the next few days, especially as tonight, I have a Flying Farangs practice at the new ice arena that has been built here in Bangkok.

Always Remember:  Don’t stop when times get tough!  You have the strength to keep going.

Mindy sat in the passenger seat, looking out the window.  "Why are you going this way, Sean?"
"You know why we're going this way," Sean said with a little exasperated.  "I know we were supposed to go down highway 13, but it was closed for construction back in Maplethorpe.  The signs said to follow country road 586, which is what we are on now."
Mindy turned and looked at Sean.  "But, it's been ages since we've seen anything.  No other town, no building, nothing.  Are you sure you aren't lost?"
"Of course, we aren't lost," Sean said with a roll of his eyes.  "And it hasn't been ages, it's only been about an hour."  Sean looked over to Mindy, "You have to pee again, don't you?"
"That's beside the point," Mindy said.  "Have you seen anything for the last hour?"
Sean pointed to side of the road, "There's a farm over there.  You can see the silo", he said with a bit of exasperation. "Would you like me to go up there and see if they will let you use their toilet?"
Mindy shook her head, "No, I don't have to go yet."
    30 minutes later...
"OK, Sean.  I really need to go now," Mindy said with a bit of guilt in her voice.
Sean chuckled, "OK, but it will have to be on the side of the road."
"I know, I know," Mindy said, a bit exasperated.  "It's not like this is the first time.  Just pull over.  OK?"
"OK, OK.", he said as he checked his rear-view mirror, then checked the left and right side of the road.  "There's nobody around, and this looks like as good a place as any." he said while he pulled to the side of the road.  "Do you need me to come out and assist you?"
Mindy slapped Sean in the arm, "No, you sicko perv.  You just stay here in the car and keep the car running.  I shouldn't be long."  Mindy got out of the car, closed the door, and walked over to the rear tire, pulled her pants down as she squatted down and begins to pee.  Suddenly she heard something, and looked up into the trees off to the side of the road.  She thought she something, and finished her business quickly, pulled her pants up and quickly got back into the car. "Sean, did you see anything?"
Sean looked at Mindy confused.  "Did I see anything where?"
"Over there!  In the trees," she said as she pointed at the trees off to the side of the road.
Sean looked off into the trees where Mindy pointed. "No, I don't see any..." suddenly, a man dressed in dirty overall and a flannel shirt and brown hair sticking up wildly all over carrying an ax came charging out of the trees towards the car.  Sean quickly put the car into gear and floored it only to have the car stall out.  He frantically reached for the keys twisting them hard as the engine chugs when the man runs into the car, as he brought the ax down biting into the trunk of the car.  Just then, the car's engine caught hold and started up, Sean crushing the accelerator to the floor.  The car kicked up stones and dirt as it's tired spun and the car lurched forward, the tires screamed as they caught the pavement and Sean and Mindy took off down the road.
"Who the fuck was that Sean?" Mindy screamed at him. "Sean!  Who the fucking hell was that?"
"I don't know! I don't know!  Fuck, Mindy!  Calm the fuck down!" Sean yelled back at her.
Mindy started hitting Sean in the arm, "Don't yell at me!  What the hell is going on?  Did you do this?"
"No, I didn't do this, " Sean responded.  "I didn't do this, and stop hitting me," he said to Mindy as he turned his head to look at her as he steered the car around a bend in the road.
"Sean!  Look out!" Mindy yelled at him.
Sean looked up, slammed on the brakes, bring the car to a screeching halt a few yards from five pickups parked across and road.
A man with rough looking jeans, a red and blue checked flannel shirt, a long unkempt beard and hair stood in front of the pickups.  He waved to Sean and Mindy as he yelled "Get out of your car.  I need to discuss something with you."
"What's going on Sean?" Mindy said on the verge of being hysterical.
"I don't know," Sean said as he shook his head no at the man and he eased the car into reverse.
"Don't try to back up," the man said as four more pickups pulled in behind the car.  "I need you to listen to what I have to say first."
    "Sean...?!" Mindy started to cry.
"Shush, Mindy.  Stay here.  Let me talk to him and see what it wants," Sean said as he tried to sound angry to hide the fear in his voice.
"Don't do it, Sean.  Don't do it," Mindy cried.
Sean opened the car door and got out, standing behind it.  "What do you want?"
"I need you both to get out of the car and to step away from the car.  Don't try to run, just come closer to me," the man replied.
Sean shook his head, "Why should I trust you?  I don't know you."
"Because if you don't," the man lifted his left arm and three men in each of the nine pickups stood up and lowered rifles aimed at Sean and Mindy, "my men will kill you both."
Sean looked at the men in front of him, then the men behind him and shook his head.  He stuck his head in to the car, "Get out of the car Mindy.  He wants us both out of the car and away from it to talk to us.  If we don't, he's going to kill us," Sean said, the fear plain in his voice.
Mindy got out of the car and they both started to walk towards the man.  "Shit, I forgot the keys," Sean said, and he turned back towards the car.
"Oh, don't do that," the man said as one of his men got in the car.  "Just keep walking towards me until I tell you to stop."
Sean turned back around with fear and anger mixed in his face.  "What the hell is going on here?" he said.
The man smiled, "Just stay calm, and everything will become clear shortly.  Just keep walking towards until I tell you to stop."
Mindy grabbed Sean's hand and they both started to walk forward as they watched the man.  When they were ten feet away from the man, he told them to stop and he lowered his left arm and the men in the trucks lowered their rifles.  "My name is Micah," he said and gestured to the men around him, "and these are members of my flock."
Sean tried to look hard at Micah, "What do you want with us, Micah?"
"You know, it's very rude to not offer your name after a name has been offered to you." Micah said with a smirk on his face.  "Oh, and don't lie.  I'll know if you lie."
"My name is Mindy, and this is Sean," Mindy said with a tremor in her voice.
"Shut up!  We don't have to tell him anything," Sean said angrily to Mindy.
'Now don't be rude, Sean," Micah said, smiling.  "She is just being polite.  Something I think you might need to learn.  Thank you, Mindy.  That was very kind of you."  Micah waved his right arm.  "So now to your question, Sean." three bags were placed on the ground between Micah, Sean and Mindy.  "You two are going to camp here tonight.  Don't worry, in one of those bags is a tent.  It's supposed to be a one-man tent, but I suppose you two don't mind being so close.  Any way, you two are to camp here tonight.  In the morning, you are to start walking.  Three days north," Micah gestures to the north, "is the border." Micah gestures to the west, "Four days to the west is another border," Micah gestures to the east, "Four days east is another border," Micah gestures to the south, "And three days south is that last border.  You have enough food in those bags for two days for each of you.  You will also find a knife and a revolver with five rounds in it.  You just have to make it to any one of the borders.  Once there, you will find a car with all the paperwork that you need to sign to have it in your name.  It's that simple." Micah said, the smile never left his face.
"That's all?" Sean asked.  He looked to Mindy, "We can do this. It will be easy!  Remember that hiking trip we did last summer?  We went hiked for two weeks."
Mindy nodded to Sean.  "Yeah, we can do..."
"Oh, I forgot one very important thing, you to," Micah interrupted them, his smile turned to a cruel grin.  "At noon, tomorrow, my flock and I will start hunting you.  If we find you, we get to kill you Sean, and Mindy gets to become part of my flock’s breeders."
"What?!  No way!  We aren't doing this.  Bring our car back." Sean yelled at Micah.
The cruel grin never left Micah's face.  "You should start setting up your tent," he said as he looked to the sky.  "It will be dark soon."  Micah turned and walked to the center pickup. "I recommend getting an early start tomorrow.  The earlier you start, the longer you will have to run.  The longer you have to run, the harder it will be for my flock to find you."
"Wait!" Sean pleaded.  "How many of your flock will be following us?"
Micah stopped getting into his pickup.  "Well, you saw nine pickups.  So, I guess that means there will be nine pickups looking for you tomorrow."
"That's not fair.  How are we supposed to outrun a pickup?" Sean said.
Micah's cruel grin turned to a kind smile.  "Well, I suppose that is a bit unfair.  Nine pickups against two people on foot.  OK.  I'm feeling generous.  I will cut you a break.  The first day, there will only be four pickups.  The second day, there will be six pickups.  The third day, there will be eight pickups.  The fourth day, there will be ten pickups.  Sleep well.  Hopefully you won't see us tomorrow," Micah said, then closed his pickup door.
All nine pickups drove away leaving Sean and Mindy standing in the middle of the road.
Keep an eye out for part 2.    Thank you for reading.

    Stories
    Part 2

As the sound of the truck disappeared in the distance, Mindy collapses to the ground in tears.  “What are we going to do, Sean?  What the hell are we going to do?”

Sean reaches down and picks up the bags and brings them over to sit down and sit next to Mindy.  “First thing we need to do is check what supplies we have.  He said there was enough food for two days for the two of us, a knife and a revolver with five rounds in it as well as a tent.  Let’s check”, Sean said as he started emptying one of the bags.

Mindy nods to Sean and picks up one of the other bags and starts to remove the contents from it, and Sean grabs the third bag and empties out with rest of the supplies.  “OK, what do we have”, Sean said as he picked up the notebook and the pencil.  He opened the notebook and on the first page was a small note from Micah.

As I said to you, you have enough food for two days for two people, and a tent.  You will also find a blanket.  Don’t lose it.  It gets cold out here at night.  Use this notebook to keep track of things like how much food you’ve eaten, landmarks, and anything else you feel is important.

    Good Luck!
    Micah

Sean handed the notebook to Mindy, “Here, you can write down our inventory while I set up the tent and start a fire?”

“Start a fire?” asked Mindy hysterically.  “Why would you do that?  They will be able to see us….”

Sean grabbed Mindy and forced her to look at him.  “Stop!  I need to start a fire so we can stay warm.  We are fine for tonight.  He said they won’t come after us until noon tomorrow.  Now organize our supplies and make a note of everything we have while I start the fire and set up the tent.”  With that, Sean went back to starting the fire.  Once the fire was started, he and Mindy set up the tent for the night.

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

A few hours before dawn, Sean’s watch alarm went off.  He quickly got up, got some water and a little bit of breakfast for the both of them ready and then woke up Mindy.  While they ate, Seans said “We need to get moving as soon as possible.  The more distance we can cover before the sun rises, the harder it will be for the hunters to find us.”  The mention of the hunters brought Mindy around quickly and they finished their small breakfast, packed the last of their supplies, and headed north.

After walking for a few hours, Sean turned them northwest.  “Why are we turning?” Mindy asked, looking back the way they came.

“I don’t want to make it easy for them.  I think they will expect us to go one of the four main directions, so I started off going one way, and then changed, and I will change again in a few hours,” Sean said looking over his shoulder at Mindy.

“But won’t that take us longer to get to the boundary?  Won’t we run out of food?” Mindy asked on the edge of hysterics again.

Sean stopped and took ahold of Mindy’s shoulders.  If we walk in a straight line, it will make easier for them to find us.  If we change directions every few hours or so, but keep heading towards a boundary, it will be better for us.  Yes, we only have two days worth of supplies, but we have a knife,” Sean said patting his left hip, “and I have this revolver,” patting his right hip.  “I also know how to hunt and set traps.  We will be fine if we start moving before dawn and stop after the sun sets.  We can do this.”

Mindy took a deep breath, visibly pulling herself together.  “Ok.  You’re right.  We can make it.”

Will I do this ride again?
     No
    Why?
Most of the ride was going down Sukhumvit road and the traffic was bad.
    Memorable events/notes:
This time we started from Big Mike’s restaurant, The Deck, which is a great restaurant.  Tracy and I were a little bit late, but only Australian David was there, so Tracy and I ordered breakfast while we waited for the others to arrive and chatted with Australian David.

Next to arrive was Tall David, and we chatted to him a bit.  Next to arrive was Wonder with her new friend, Harley Dave.
We had a plan for kickstands up (KSU) at 12:30, and we almost hit the mark this time.  Jessica, our last scheduled person to show up, arrived at 12:28.
I learned a valuable lesson with this trip.  Do not travel down Sukhumvit road at all cost.  Traffic is terrible and it’s so difficult to get beyond 60kph.  Since we couldn’t really get any speed, at that time of day, it made it super super hot.
I really liked starting off from The Deck.  It felt like having a home.
The destination restaurant wasn’t so good either.  That was a bad choice.  In the future, I will choose places North, East, and West of Bangkok and stay away from South as we would spend too much time on Sukhumvit.
As a first ride, I felt it went really well, and we left at around the time I wanted and got back in plenty of time.

On Saturday, Tracy ( @hirondelle)and I flew down to Bangkok from Chiang Mai. We wanted some time away from Chiang Mai and we also had an appointment with an immigration lawyer on Monday (Today).

Yesterday, we went shopping for a camera for Tracy ( @hirondelle)(she has been wanting and SLR camera) and we looked at a number of places, but nobody had the model she was looking for. Hell, most places didn't have have the brand she wanted. We settled on a really nice camera which she really loved. I told her that we weren't leaving Bangkok with out getting her a camera as that was one of the reasons I wanted to come to Bangkok. We also got some movies and some great books!

Today we had an appointment with the immigration lawyer at 11. We arrived a little early, and he wasn't there. He was at the embassy for some things. Tracy ( @hirondelle) got a little worried at first because she hadn't confirmed the appointment before we left to come to Bangkok. I told her not to worry and I was pretty sure that he wouldn't forget, especially with all the correspondence those two had had. At about 11, he walked in to the offices and walked up to Tracy ( @hirondelle) and said hi to her, knowing her name, and came over to me and introduced himself to me. He asked for a minute to put his brief case away and to get our file, then invited us into the conference room. He took a couple of minutes to talk to us and get to know us and to tell us a bit about himself. And then refreshed himself on our case and asked us some questions taking notes.

He had a great demeanor, and was very personable. We spent about 2 hours in his office going over what was going to be done, and about how long it would take. He asked for our passport photos, and Tracy's ( @hirondelle) were the wrong size. They were the size for British passports, not American passport, so his secretary took Tracy ( @hirondelle) out to get her picture taken again for the right size. While Tracy ( @hirondelle) and her were out we talked and he told me more about himself, and asked me questions about Tracy ( @hirondelle). When we finished with the meeting, he asked how long we would be in Bangkok, because he would have some of the beginning documents drawn up so we could sign them. We told him we were going to be in the area, because I had to go and talk to my old boss about getting my pay information for my back taxes, and he said that would be great.

We headed out and stopped at the 7-11 so I could buy my boss a bottle of whiskey (scotch) as a kind of gift to and to help ease the process of getting my old pay information. After buying the whiskey we crossed the street to head to the office and here he was, heading down the street, I think he was on his way to lunch. We talked for a minute and I told him I had something for him. On the way back to his office, we talked for a bit and told him that we were planning on moving to the States and that we were here talking to a lawyer to help with the immigration process for Tracy ( @hirondelle) . He asked when we would be moving and we told him it would be about 6 months, give or take a few weeks, according to our lawyer. He asked what we would be doing for the next 6 months. He has always had hopes that I would come back to Bangkok and work for him again. He is a really nice guy and was a great boss.

We got back to the office and found out that they are moving buildings by about the end of the year also. We talked for a bit and told him why I needed the pay information, and he was totally understanding. I then pulled out the bottle of whiskey for him, and he was very appreciative but said he couldn't take it as he is allergic to alcohol, and said I should keep it. And that he would really like to keep in touch with us and find out how we are doing in the States and everything.

After we finished talking to my old boss, we went for coffee to wait for 3 o'clock to head back to the lawyer's office. We got back to his office and he was in a meeting and they told us it would be about 10 minutes, we were early again. When he was finished with the meeting, he came out and said hi, and he had to get the documents. He checked them over, but needed some fixing, but he would talk us through everything and fix it later.

He explained what everything was for and why we had to sign this document and that document and why he had was having us sign so many copies, the USCIS and the Embassy have a tendency to loose paper work, and he wanted back up copies, lol. Over all, we are very pleased with him and glad we chose him for this.

Once we get the last of the documentation and information that we need, he will submit our paper work to USCIS and get everything going for us.

One of the good things is that there is a really good chance that Tracy ( @hirondelle)and I won't have to be separated at all during this process like the other lawyer had told us. And it should only take about 6 months, where the other lawyer also told us it would take about a year.

So all and all, everything is looking really good. Also, with the Visa Tracy ( @hirondelle)will be getting, she will become a permanent resident the day she gets off the plane and will be able to start working when she wants. And she will be a permanent resident for about 3 years and then she can become a U.S. Citizen if she wants.

We are very excited and very happy with him. All is looking good for us now.

After that, we went and got me a new pair of sandals had died and were killing my feet. I got a really nice pair, and we also bought more BOOKS, lol.

Will keep you all updated as we know more.

    Thanks

Emily and Devin are sitting at The Citrus, one of their local restaurants that serves breakfast.  “What should we do today?” Devin asked Emily.
“Well, I want to do some gardening this weekend, maybe plant some flowers along the side of the house.  We’ve been talking about it for the last three years.  I think it’s about time we finally do it,” Emily responded with a smile.
Devin nodded, “That’s a great idea.  I think I’ll get some equipment at Home Pro and…” Devin moved back so the waitress could put their breakfast plates down.
“Would you like more coffee?” she asked, and both agreed.
“So yeah, I’ll get some equipment and some mulch, and I’ll work on those trees out back,” Devin continued.
“I have no idea how you eat your eggs like that,” Emily said while she looked at Devin’s plate.  “Sunny side up is just so disgusting.”
Devin laughed “Hey, I have to get them when we’re out, because you won’t let me eat them in the house.”
“Don’t you even,” Emily retorted with a smile.  “Anytime you want your eggs like that, you can cook them yourself.  I’m not cooking anything that nasty.”
With that, Devin picked up a slice of toast, used the corner and dipped it into his eggs, breaking the yoke causing it to ooze all over his plate while he smeared it on the end of his toast, lifted it to his mouth, as it dripped the yoke off of it, and took a big bite. “But, it’s just so delicious”, he said as he chewed it up.
“That’s just horrible.  You’re such a pig,” Emily laughed.

“Ahh, now that hit the spot,” Devin said as he leaned back and stretched his arms over his head.
“No going to sleep now.  We have a lot to do today,” Emily said with a laugh.  “Get the check.”
The waitress came back to the table, “Do you guys need anything else?”
“No thank you, just the check,” Devin replied.
The waitress pulled out the checks from her apron pocket.  “Sure, not a problem,” she said as she sorted through the different checks, finding Emily and Devin’s.  “Here you go.  When you’re ready, you can pay up at the register.  Have a great day” she said as she set down their check with a smile, turned, and headed off to another table.
Devin gave Emily some money, “Here’s some money, can you take care of that while I use the toilet?” he asked.
“Sure, not a problem,” Emily picked up the check and the money.  “I’ll meet you outside.”

Devin finished washing his hands, exited the restroom and left The Citrus.  He looked around, but didn’t see Emily, Hmmm, she must have headed to the car he thought, and walked to the back parking lot.  He didn’t see Emily there either, but he walked to their car, but she wasn’t in it.  Odd.  I wonder if I missed her walking through the restaurant, Devin thought, heading back to the restaurant.
Devin walked up to the cashier, “Excuse me.  I was just in here having breakfast with my wife.”
    “Yes?” the cashier said.
“Uhm, did you see where she went?” Devin asked.
“She went outside, sir”, the cashier responded.
“Did she say anything before..” Devin’s phone started to buzz in his pocket.  He pulled out his phone and saw he had a message from Emily’s phone.
    Emily:  Mr. Fredrikson
Emily:  Don’t try to find your wife’s phone.
Emily:  We have turned off the tracking
Devin started to type into his phone.
    Emily:  Mr. Fredrikson
    Emily:  Stop typing
    Emily:  Just read
Emily:  We have some things we need to say
Emily:  Before you start asking questions
    Emily:  First
Emily:  Don’t bother calling the police
Emily:  They will just tell you to wait 48 hours
Emily:  Then your wife will be dead
Emily:  If you do what we say
    Emily:  Follow every step
Emily:  Your wife will be home in 24 hours
    Emily:  Unharmed
    Emily:  Do you understand?
Emily:  You may type YES or NO
    YES :Devin
Who are you?  Why did you take my wife?  What do you want? Devin thinks as he sends his message.
    Emily:  Very good Mr. Fredrikson
Emily:  Now go to your car
Emily:  You will see a note on the seat
Devin looked up to the cashier, “Thank you” and turned and walked out of The Citrus, and headed to his car.  When he got there, he saw there was a note on his seat.  He opened the car door, grabbed the note and started to open it when his phone buzzed again.
    Emily:  Mr. Fredrikson
    Devin stopped opening the note.
Emily:  Before you read the note
    Emily:  REMEMBER
Emily:  DO NOT GO TO THE POLICE
    Emily:  If you do
    Emily:  We will kill her
Emily:  If you understand type YES”
    YES :Devin
Devin typed and hit the send button.
    Emily:  Thank you Mr. Fredrikson
Emily:  You may read the note now
Devin opens the note, a polaroid fell out, so he picked it up to see a scared Emily with a knife at her throat which was held by a masked person behind her.
    MR. FREDRIKSON,
WE HAVE TAKEN YOUR WIFE.  IN ORDER FOR YOU TO GET HER BACK YOU MUST REMAIN CALM AND DO AS YOU ARE TOLD.  AS YOU SEE FROM THE PHOTO YOUR WIFE IS FINE.  SHE WILL REMAIN SO IF YOU DO AS YOU ARE TOLD.  IN 30 MINUTES THE TELEPHONE THAT HAS BEEN INSTALLED IN YOUR HOUSE WILL RING.  IF YOU ARE NOT THERE TO ANSWER IT, IT WILL NOT BE GOOD FOR YOUR WIFE.

Devin started at the note and the Polaroid in shock. He felt his phone buzz in his hand again.
    Emily:  Mr. Fredrikson
Emily:  Have you finished reading the note?
Devin punched YES into his phone, exasperated and terrified.
    Emily:  Very good Mr. Fredrikson
Emily:  I recommend you go home now
Emily:  You will received a phone call in 30 minutes
Emily:  You should be there to answer
Devin numbly got into his car, started it and drove home.

Twenty-five minutes later, Devin entered his house and the first things he saw was the old fashioned rotary phone sitting in the center of the dining room table.  Devin shuffles to the table, blind to everything else in his house and collapses into the dining room chair facing the phone.
At exactly thirty minutes from the last message the phone starts to ring which caused Devin to scream in shock.  Frantically he grabbed for the phone and knocked it off it’s cradle.  Devin fumbled while he tried to grab it.  When he finally caught hold of it he raised the phone to his ear. “He-hello?”
“Devin?!  Oh god, I’m so glad you answered the phone,” Emily said on the other end of the phone.
“Emily!  Are you …” Devin responded but was cut off by a mechanical voice on the other end of the line.
“Mr. Fredrikson.  As you can hear, your wife is alive and well,” said the mechanical voice on the other end.
“Who are you?” Devin said into the phone on the verge of screaming.
“It doesn’t matter who we are Mr. Fredrikson.  All that matters is that you do we tell you to.  When you do that, we will release your wife.  Don’t do that, and you will never see your wife again.  Do you understand Mr. Fredrikson?” answered the mechanical voice.
“No!  You tell me who you are or I won’t…..” Devin is cut off by a scream coming through the phone.
“Mr. Fredrikson.  That was your wife screaming.  We just broke her ring finger.  The one that she wears that expensive wedding ring you bought her five years ago.  If you interrupt me again, I will break her hand.  Then I will break her forearm.  Then I will break her upper arm.  Then I will break her shin.  Do you get my point Mr. Fredrikson?” the mechanical voice said into the phone.
“Yes! Yes! I understand.  Just don’t hurt her any more,” Devin sobbed into the phone.
“Mr. Fredrikson, Your job is to hack into Maverik Corporation.  Once you have done that, you need to find a folder titled Marshal Falls.  Copy all of the contents of that folder and then delete the folder from Maverik Corporation.” Devin was told.
“But I don’t hack any more.  I haven’t in ..” Devin started to say.
“Don’t lie to us Mr. Fredrikson.  We know everything you do.  We know you haven’t stopped.  You may have slowed down, but you haven’t stopped.  You have twelve hours to to do this task.  In twelve hours, we will contact you again.  If you haven’t completed this task… Well, we don’t have to keep telling you what will happen.  Just get it done Mr. Fredrikson,” the mechanical voice said and then the line was abruptly dead.
“FUUUUUUUUUCK!” Devin screamed as he slammed the phone down on the receiver.  He picked it up again and slammed it down again “Fuck!”  He then walked over to his desktop computer and started it up, smashing down F12, changing his boot from Windows to Linux and waited impatiently for his system to reboot.
Once his system finished it’s reboot, he started his programs for pinging servers, trying to track down Maverik Corporation servers.  Once he found them, he started looking for his way in.

After eleven hours of work, he finally found the Marshal Falls folder.  It was massive.  There was seven hundred gigabytes of information in that folder.  Devin copied it and deleted it from Maverik Corporation's servers.  He was now going through the files, but there was just so many files in there.  What is all of this stuff? Devin thought to himself, suddenly he sees a folder with the title Gitega Fallout.  Devin started to scan through the folder when the phone rang causing him to jump out of his seat, nearly giving him a heart attack.  He jumps up and runs to the phone on the dining room table and answered it.  “Hello?”
Devin is greeted by the mechanical voice. “Hello Mr. Fredrikson.  Did you copy the folder?”
“Yes I did,” Devin responded.  “What’s it..”
“Mr. Fredrikson, do I need to to give you another reminder?” the mechanical voice interrupted him.
“No, no.  I’ve copied the folder over and deleted off of Maverik’s servers,” Devin responded.
“Very good Mr. Fredrikson,” the mechanical voice answered.  “Now you need to hack into Sutan Enterprises and put the folder into there.”
“I can’t do this…” Devin starts to retort.
“Mr. Fredrikson.” the mechanical voice started.
“Fine, fine.  I’ll do it.  How long do I have?” Devin asked frustrated.
“You have six hours Mr. Fredrikson.  I will call you back then,” and the line went dead again.

... Keep an eye our for Part 2

    Motorcycle
On July 15, 2023, I purchased a new bike for me.

Before I tell you about that though, I want to tell you what led to this bike.

    2018 Honda Rebel 500
    2018 Honda Rebel 500
Back in 2018 I bought a new 2018 Honda Rebel 500 to replace my Honda Phantom 200.  This was a great bike, and we did a lot of rides on it, lots of lovely trips.  The first trip we did on this bike was a trip from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi to Sangkaburi to Sai Yok to Nakhon Prathom to Bangkok.  It was such a lovely trip to get used to the bike.  We have also done multiple trips to Khao Yai and a trip to Sukhothai and a number of lunch runs with friends and multiple safety courses with Honda.

This was a lovely bike, which I loved to ride, with lots of memories.  The whole time I had this bike, I only dropped it twice.  The first time was when I did a slow u-turn in the middle of a major road here in Bangkok and the person on the back of the bike wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and leaned over and I wasn't expecting it and the bike fell.  The second time was when I was on one of the safety courses, and it was late in the day, I lost concentration on what I was doing and I leaned the bike over too far and then felt the bike start to go, gave it a little extra throttle to set it back up, but the back tire broke loose and then I caught the platform and the bike went down hard.

One thing was, after owning the Rebel for about six (6) months, I started looking at other bikes.  One of the youtubers that I follow, Ryan FortNine (https://www.youtube.com/@FortNine), rode a 2015 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and he did two reviews on in.

Because of these two videos, I started looking at the cost of the Suzuki V-Strom.  One of the things I noticed, at the time, is that they were a little bit cheaper than the Honda Africa Twin.

2024 Honda Africa Twin When my Honda Rebel 500 was almost paid off, I decided to sell it and get a bigger bike.  I felt like I was ready.  I was at the local Honda dealership and they showed me a Honda Rebel DCT 1100.  I took it. for a test ride, and it felt nice.  I went home and talked to @hirondelle about it, and she said that if we were going to get another bike, she didn't want another Rebel, because after about thirty (30) minutes on the back of the bike, she starts to not feel so good, and at about forty-five (45) minutes, she needs a break, and an hour, she needs at least a thirty (30) minute break.  It had a lot to do with the leg position for her on the back of the Rebel.  So we looked at what Honda bikes would be good for a pillion rider, and it was recommended an Africa Twin.  I started looking hard at Africa Twins.  I took a couple for a test ride, and I had @hirondelle go with me for a test ride.  She actually loved the feeling of riding on the back of that big machine.  We talked about what we needed to do to get one, and crunched some numbers.  We originally decided to get a new one, but then later on, we decided to get a used one, and save quite a bit of money.

Triumph Tiger 1200 One day, I had a Triumph Tiger come up in my feed on Facebook, so I looked at them.  Even the second hand ones were coming up as more expensive than a new Honda Africa Twin, but something weird happened when I was doing that.  I was reminded of all the research I did on the Suzuki V-Strom 1000.  So I decided to go back and take a look at the research I did on the V-Strom and the videos that Ryan FortNine did on the Suzuki V-Strom.

This convinced me to take a second look at the V-Strom.  While I was doing that, @hirondelle looked for bikes that are comfortable for the pillion rider.  She shared with me four (4) lists.  On those four lists, the Honda Africa Twin wasn't listed at all.  The BMW GS1200 (a bike my friend owns) was listed on two lists (2), and the Suzuki V-Strom was on all four (4) lists, so this kind of convinced me to start looking at them.  I looked at the Suzuki web site and saw that their bikes were about the same price as the Honda Africa Twin.

Buying a 2018 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 I decided to look at used bikes.  The Honda Africa Twin was going for about 370,000 Thai Baht, which is about 10,500 USD, and the Suzuki V-Strom was running about 320,000 Thai Baht, which is about 9000 USD.  The day I started looking at used Suzuki V-Stroms, I found a 2018 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 for 270,000 Thai Baht, which is about 7,500 USD.  I left it for a couple of weeks to see if it would go, and told @hirondelle about it and showed her pictures.  She liked how the bike looked, and we both liked that it came with a top box on the back.  After a few weeks went by, I reached out to the seller and asked for a discount, and he knocked of 10,000 Thai Baht for me, about 300 USD.  Didn't seem like a bad deal, so I asked to go have a look at it.  Tracy went with me to look at it and for me to test ride it.  I started it up, and the motor sounded good, no strange noises or anything.  I took it for a test ride and it rode smooth and felt really comfortable.  I made him an offer, that he said he couldn't do as he was selling it on consignment, so the best that he could do was 260,000 Thai Baht.  @hirondelle and I talked about it and we felt this was a good price.  Put a down payment on the bike and came back a month later to pay it off and rode off the lot with my new motorcycle!

This bike is so comfortable for me, and for @hirondelle.  Our first big trip on it was a trip to Hua Hin, and it was so nice.  @hirondelle also said that she felt really good on it.  We both had to learn a new way to mount the bike as it was so tall, but now it's so natural for use to get on the bike this way.  We have also done a number of lunch runs with some friends on this bike and we love it.

I have been keeping a journal for the rides that I have done on this bike, which is something new for me.  To go with that, recently, I have started using the Riser app, which a great app for riding mapping motorcycle rides and also diving directions.  You can decide if you want a curvy route, a supercurvy route or a direct route, which is pretty good.  Also, there is an option to add friends when we ride together so nobody gets lost.  I haven't tested this part yet, but I plan on it.

So, my idea is I will be making journal entries of my rides here, and I will also post my route, so people can have a look on Riser to see where I went.  I'm quite excited about this.  When I have a chance, I will post my journal entries here, but they won't have the map, but all rides after this will have the map and any images I take.  I'm really looking forward to it.

Always Remember:  Ride your own ride, not somebody elses rides.

Well, as I had said in my last blog post, things are starting to move forward. I found a lot of the images for one of the skins we used to have at the old New The Northlands, so now, because of that, I'm almost finished with another skin. We have an appointment with an immigration lawyer for the 20th of July, and we received an email from the U.S. immigration offices saying that I really shouldn't leave until after Tracy ( @hirondelle)has her visa. It will make it easier for the interviews and such.

Also, one of the things we will need right away when we get there is a vehicle of some sort. And Avia and Paladin have really been helping us out a lot with that, and have found us some really nice cars in the price range we have been looking for. They have also offered to put the car title and insurance in their name until we get to the States and then switch it over to my name. One Suzuki and one Subaru, both really nice and about the same price. We have pretty much decided on which one we would like, but we don't want to rush to any decisions about which one to get if it is even either of those until we have some type of time frame for when we will be moving to the States. And hopefully, one of both will still be available when it comes time for us to buy a car.

Well, that's all for now. Enjoy!

Before you start reading this story, I do have to make somethings very clear.

While you’re in the other room changing in to your school girl outfit, I organize room to look like an office.

Mr. Davis sat at his desk as he looked over reports on his computer when he heard a knock at the door.  He looked up to see Shelly Stevens, one of his seniors. She was troublesome. “Come in Shelly”, he said.  As she stepped into his office, his eyes travelled up and down her body, taking note of how tight her blouse was and how short her skirt was and he had to suppress his shiver of desire.  When she sat down in the chair in front of his desk, he could see quite far up her legs. Her cough brought him back to her senses. “Stand up Shelly.”
“Yes sir,” she said as she stood up slowly, looking at him in the eyes.  Once she was fully standing, she lowered her eyes.
Whew, that’s better, he thought.  “Shelly. I have had a number of complaints about you this term.  You know the rules, for each complaint that I read out, you will count by two.  That is how many cane strokes you will receive. Do you understand Shelly?” he said while his eyes traveled her body.
She looked up at him and caught his eyes roaming her body and felt her excitement build, “Yes Mr. Davis, I understand,” she responded.
Mr. Davis looked back to his computer, brings up the file on Shelly.  “You were late to Mr. Erickson’s English class,” he started.
“But I forgot my books in….” she said as she tried to tried to plead as she looked up at him.
Mr. Davis looked up with a fire in his eyes.  “Excuse me? I didn’t hear you count,” he said with an edge to his voice.
Her heart started to race as her excitement built at the sound of his voice and the look in his eyes.  “I’m sorry,” she said as she slowly lowered her eyes. “Two Mr. Davis.”
Mr. Davis looked back at the file, but not before his eyes traveled her body one more time.  “You skipped Mrs. Agloth’s gym class.”
“Four Mr. Davis” she said with a slight tremor of excitement in her voice as she wondered how many of these he had.
As they go through the list, Shelly counts as Mr. Davis lists each offense, both becoming excited at the prospect of what is to come.  Mr. Davis comes to his last item on the list. “Making phone calls during class.”
Shelly opened her mouth to protest, but decided against it.  “Eighteen Mr. Davis”
“That’s not good at all Shelly,” he said as he stands up with a bulge in his pants from his erection which drew Shelly’s eyes.  He slowly walked around to the front of the desk to stand in front of her. His eyes again move up and down her body, “This uniform is not to standard.  Your blouse looks too tight. And your skirt, well, it looks too short. Kneel here so we can check.”
Shelly slowly kneeled down in front of Mr. Davis, bringing her closer to him, her eyes glued to the bulge in his pants which is now at her eye level.  “Your skirt is definitely too short Shelly. How many is that?”
Shelly licked her lips as she slowly looked up at Mr. Davis before she answered.  “Twenty Mr. Davis” she responded with a horse whisper as she knew the punishment she was about to receive and was incredibly turned on by it.
“Stand up Shelly and put your elbows on my desk,” Mr Davis said with an edge of excitement to his voice.
Shelly stood up, slowly leaned over the desk and placed her elbows on.  As she did so, the back hem of her skirt raised up to just below the curve of her ass.  She looked over her shoulder at Mr. Davie, “Like this Mr. Davis?”
“Exactly like that Shelly,” he said as he reached down, letting his fingers drag up the back of Shelly’s thigh as he moves his fingers up to the hem of Shelly’s skirt, lifting the hem of her skirt up over her ass. “Shelly.  That is very bad. You are not wearing the correct panties,” he said, grabbing hold of her thong and pulling it up, causing Shelly to gasp. He reaches over to his desk, grabbed a pair of scissors and roughly cut Shelly’s thong from her and tossed it aside.
Using his hand between Shelly’s legs and forced her legs apart with his hands, bringing his hand up, he can feel her excitement already.  He reached over and grabbed the cane. “Count out the strokes Shelly. If you don’t count it, it doesn’t count.”
“Yes, Mr. Davis”, she gets out before the first strike lands causing her to scream out.
Mr. Davis waits a few seconds, but doesn’t her Shelly say one.  “That one doesn’t count Shelly. I will have to do it again” he says and lets another strike land.
“One Mr. Davis”, she said through clenched teeth.  Before Shelly has a chance to catch her breath, Mr. Davis lands another strike, causing Shelly to gasp.  “Two Mr. Davis”.
Mr. Davis stroked his fingers over the welts that have started to rise on Shelly’s ass.  This caused a groan to escape Shelly’s lips as she pushed back a little against his fingers. Mr. Davis strokes the cane briefly, causing Shelly’s excitement to rise more.  With another quick strike on to Shelly’s ass, causing a third welt to rise up, Shelly bit her lip to prevent a scream from escaping her. “Three Mr. Davis”. Mr. Davis can feel himself starting to swell.  The fourth strike lands on Shelly’s ass and she pants a little from the intensity of the strike. “Four Mr. Davis.”
He stroked Shelly’s ass again, he can feel each individual welt, pressing his fingers into them as they move over them causing Shelly to gasp and push against his hand. Mr Davis griped the welts on Shelly’s ass hard, which caused her to groan, which he followed with sliding his fingers up the inside of her thighs, running them along the wet folds of your pussy, which caused a moan to escape Shelly’s lips.
Mr. Davis let another strike fall on Shelly’s ass, this one harder than the previous four, which caused Shelly to yelp.  “Five Mr. Davis”, which was followed by another strike, “Six Mr. Davis”, followed by another quick strike “Seven Mr. Davis”, followed by a fourth quick strike, “Eight Mr. Davis”, Shelly said with, shaky voice. He placed his palm on her hot ass and he could feel the welts rising from where he just struck her.  He drug his fingers over the welts causing Shelly’s whole body to shake. He reached down to stroke her pussy while he pressed his hard cock against her thigh though he pants. The stroking of his fingers and the pressing of his cock against her caused her body to move and twist with desire.
Before he loses control, Mr. Davis moved away and removed his fingers from Shelly’s pussy.  With a quick snap of his wrist, he lets another strike land on Shelly welted ass. “Nine Mr. Davis” she said as she tried to control her breathing, another strike falls, “Ten Mr. Davis”, and another, “Eleven Mr. Davis”, and another “Twelve Mr. Davis” Shelly pants out.
The welts and red stripes looked good to him, he needed to touch them again, stroking his fingers over welts, dragging his fingertips over them over them, pressing his fingers into them, pressing his throbbing cock against her thigh, he reaches down and strokes her hot lips, making her moan and grind against him.  He can’t help but to think how much he is going to enjoy feeling her wet lips wrapped around his cock soon.
Mr. Davis swings the cane again, connecting with Shelly’s “Thirteen Mr. Davis” striking again, “Fourteen Mr. Davis” striking one more time “Fifteen Mr. Davis” Shelly said as her voice breaks.
Mr. Davis couldn’t control himself any more, pressing his hand into the small of Shelly’s back, he went to unbuckle his belt, but struggles with one hand and released Shelly to use both hands.  Shelly quickly turned around and kneeled before and undoes Mr. Davis’s pants and pulls them down with his underwear, grabs Mr. Davis cock and pops it into her mouth. “Oh damn, Shelly. That feels so good” he groaned and he started thrusting into her mouth.
Before he got over excited, he pulled Shelly’s mouth off his cock, made her stand back up and bend over the desk, positioned the head of his cock against her wet pussy.  “I’m going to fuck you so hard” he growled at her and drove his cock deep into her causing her to scream out in pleasure. Each time he thrust into her, his hips smacked into her freshly caned ass, mixing Shelly’s pain in pleasure throwing her over the edge as wave after wave of orgasm crashed over her.  The intensity of Shelly’s orgasm spurred on Mr. Davis and he started thrusting faster and harder into her, as his orgasm built. Before long, he gripped her hips hard and thrust deep, cuming inside her.

David entered the office with his briefcase in one hand and his full cup of coffee in the other, just as Adrian walked around the out of the office looking back over his shoulder into the office and crashed into David causing David to spill his coffee all over himself.  "Oh shit, Dave buddy. I'm...."
David swung his briefcase, crushing into the side of Adrian's face spraying the wall with blood.  Raising his briefcase up over his head, he brings it crashing down on top of Adrian's head, raising it again, smashing down, raising it... "My..." smashing down as Adrian crashed back into the wall "name...." raising it... "is...." smashing down... "David..." raising it as Adrian slides down the wall leaving a bloody trial... "not...." smashing down... "Dave..." raising it... "you..." smashing down... "stupid..." raising it.... "son..." smashing......
"Oh shit, Dave.  I'm so sorry.  I didn't see you there.  Are you OK?" Adrian asked as he caught David's arm.  "I didn't mean to get your coffee all over you," Adrian said, looking around for something to clean the coffee off of David with.
David is shocked back into the present and looked down at his jacket, eased his arm from Adrian's grasp, brushing the coffee off his jacket.  "It's OK, Adrian.  Don't worry."  At least he wore a dark jacket today.  He worked his way around Adrian.
"Are you sure you're going to be OK Dave?" Adrian asked as David walked past him.  "Is there anything I can do?"
"No no, Adrian.  Don't worry.  I'm fine" David said, Asshole! he thought.  He continued on through the office to his cubicle.  When he got to his desk, he sat down with a shake of his head.  "Stupid people.  Why can't he watch where they're going", he grumbled to himself.

Finally!  Done!  Weekend!  David thought as he shut down his computer and pushed his keyboard tray into his desk.  He stood up, picked up his briefcase and started to walk out of his cubical.  He stopped and let Barbara and Susan walk past, the both of them lost in their talk about what they will do this weekend, too lost to notice David.  He stepped out behind them and followed them to the door of the office.  David kept his eyes on the floor while he thought about what he might do over the weekend.  He saw the door open by the women and kept walking through, only to get caught in the head by the door, knocking his glasses off.
Barbara turned and reached out to David, "Oh Davey, I'm..."
David balled up his fist, shot it straight out and connected with Barbara's nose, feeling the bones of her nose crunching under his fist causing her to collapse to the floor.  He pulls his foot back and gives her a vicious kick to the head.  He pulls his foot back again, kicking her viciously in the head, picking up his foot he stomps down splatter blood across the floor, he lifts his foot again and stops down.  He lifts his foot.... "Watch..." he stomps down... "what..." he lifts his foot, blood pooling around him.... "the..." stomps down, crunching bones in her skull... "fuck..." lifts his foot.... "you..." stomps down... 'are... " lifts his foot... "doing..." stomps down... "you..." lifts his foot... "stupid...." stomps...
"Oh Dave.  I'm so sorry.  Are you OK?" she said as put her hand on his arm.  "I didn't know you were behind us."
David shrugged Barbara's hand off his arm in shocked manner, "It's OK.  Don't worry.  It's nothing," he said as he adjusted his glasses.  "It's fine.  Don't think about it."
"Are you sure Dave,": she said as she reached out to him.  "Is there anything I can do?"
"No, no.  I'm fine," he said as he walked around Barbara, "It's OK, Barbara.  I should have been paying attention.  Don't think about."  He left the building, My name is David, not Dave and pay attention to what you're doing you stupid bitch.  What an idiot! he thought to himself.

"Good evening.  How are you?" the lady at the door asked him.
David looked at her, "I'm fine.  I would like a table for one."
"Sure, not a problem.  Would you like a seat in our restaurant area or in our bar..."
"If I wanted to sit in the bar I would have asked for the bar.  Can I just have a table for one please?" David responded curtly.
"Sure, not a problem.  Follow me please" the hostess said with a smile.  She turned and led the way in to restaurant area.  When she reached a table, she turned and looked at him with a smile, "Is this OK?"
"Yes.  This will do," David said as he took a seat at the table.
The hostess handed the menu to David, "Can I get you a drink?"
David looked down at his menu, "Yes, I would like a gin and tonic."
The hostess smiled, "OK.  I will get that for you.  Your server, Michael, will be right with you."  She came back a few minutes later and placed the gin and tonic on David's table, "Enjoy your meal."
The server stepped up to the table, "Hi.  My name is Michael.  I'll be taking care of you this evening.  I see that Rachel got you your drink.  Are you ready to order, or do you need a few min...."
"Yes.  I'm ready.  I would like the T-bone steak.  I'd like it rare.  I want a baked potato and the steamed mixed vegetables.  For an appetizer, I want the Caesar salad, but I don't want parmigiana cheese, and I want the dressing on the side."
Michael smiled and listened to David.  "OK, so you would like the T-bone steak, rare with the baked potato and steamed vegetables, and you like to start off with the Caesar salad with the dressing on the side and no Parmesan cheese."
David kept his head down, "Yes, thank you."  David listened to all the conversations that were going on around him.  These people.  They are just so ignorant. They just don't understand. he thought.
A few minutes later, Michael appeared back at the table and placed the Caesar salad down and then placed the small dressing bowl down next to the salad.  "Is there anything else I can get your right now sir?" Michael asked.
David picked up his fork and looked down at his salad and saw croutons in it.  He gripped his fork in his hand and looked up at Michael. "I didn't ask for croutons."
"I'm sorry sir," Michael said pleasantly.  "I can get you another salad for you if you wou...."
David swung the hand up that had the fork in it and embedded it in Michael's chest,  "Did I say I wanted croutons!" He yanked the fork out. "I..." drove the fork into Michael's throat "didn't..." yanked it out... "say..." drove it in again... "I..." yanked it out.. "wanted..." drove it in... "god..." yanked it out... "damn...." drove it in... "croutons..." yanked it out... "on..." drove it in... "my..." yanked it out... "stinking...." drove it in again.  David followed Michael to the flow continuing to plunge his fork into Michael as he went while he screamed at him.  People ran away shocked at the carnage created by David.
After minutes of driving the fork repeatedly into Michael, David stopped and looked around wild eyed, his breath heavy in his chest.  He saw that he was surrounded by police officers with guns trained on him. "Put the weapon down sir." one officer said.
David looked down at his blood covered hand, then at his blood covered body, then looked up at the officer that spoke to him, "But, it wasn't my fault.  He didn't listen to me.  None of them listen to me," he said as he dropped the fork.  "They deserved it."
"What do you mean they deserved it?" the officer asked.  "Who are they?"
"You're one of them, aren't you," David said as he slowly reached for the fork again, only to be tackled from behind and pinned to the ground.
"You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult an attorney before speaking to the police and to have an attorney present during questioning now or in the future. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. If you decide to answer questions now without an attorney present, you will still have the right to stop answering at any time until you talk to an attorney. Knowing and understanding your rights as I have explained them to you?" the officer said as he cuffed David.
"Yes I do, but I don't understand why I'm being arrested," David said.  "If he would have listened to what I ordered, and didn't put those croutons on my salad, I wouldn't have stabbed him."
"I understand sir." the officer said. "Why don't we go down to the station to talk about this."

BLAM, BLAM, BLAM. the gavel banged.  "David Rider, you have been found guilty of second degree murder of Michael Phearson and hereby sentenced to 15 years on prison," the judge said.
    David is taken away smiling.
    (....4 years later)
"Mr. Rider.  Can I ask you a question?" the reporter asked from outside David's cell.
David looked up at the reporter. "Yes you may," he said with a smile.
"Mr. Rider.  You killed a fellow inmate.  You said it was because he didn't call you David.  Is this true?"
"Yes it is.  He called me Davey.  My name isn't Davey, it's David."
"Isn't that a bit of a ridiculous excuse for killing someone?"
David looked at the reported.  "I've killed thousands of people.  I've killed them thousands of ways.  No reason for killing somebody is ridiculous.  People will start to learn once you start killing them."
The reporter looked shocked.  "You've killed thousands of people?"
An evil grin crossed David's face. "Yes.  I've killed you three times just now.  Each way different.  I have bashed your head into my prison bars until your face was nothing but a bloody pulp.  Then I pulled you in and wrapped my fingers around your through and slowly squeezed the breath out of you.  Lastly, I used my spoon here," David lifted his spoon, "and I took out your throat and watched you bleed to death while I held you up."
The blood drained from the reporter's face.  "Uhm, thank you Mr. Rider.  That's all I need for now.  If I have any more questions, may I contact you again?"
"If you dare" David said with a big grin on his face.

So @hirondelle told me around Christmastime that she wanted to buy my next tattoo for me for my birthday. So I finally got some free time, and put together an image that I was very happy with. When you look the gallery pictures for this blog post, it will be the one titled original.

They are great! The lady that did the samurai on my right arm is the same lady that did my new tattoo. Her name is Poo. Her husband, Leck New York, does the big back and body pieces. They both are amazing artists. Now we went in on Tuesday to our tattoo shop by the name of Sak Lai Tattoo Studio. Poo too the image and said she was going to turn the outer circle more into a brush stroke, because she new the idea I was going for. I think she did a great job with that.

Now to describe my tattoo. The outer circle is called a Zen Circle. It means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. To me it represents that nothing is perfect. Which to me is life. You just do the best you can, which again is life. The inner image, you all know, it's a Yin and Yang. To me this represents the two sides to everything. You have to look at both sides, listen to both sides and you can't have one with out the other... in my opinion.

Well, that's about it. Hope you all like it.

Well, as some of you have read, @hirondelle and I have decided on a few things for New Years. First and foremost, is that we plan on quitting smoking. I would also like to get back into shape, bring my weight back down to what I think it should be, and also start studying martial arts again.

I'm going to try and keep a bit of a travel log of how things go here.

As of today, we have quit smoking. I always forget how hard the first day is. So what I'm trying to do is keep my mind busy by doing a few different things. I'm listening to some good music, working on some new things for The Northlands, and a friend of ours is coming down and he would like to go to this open park and work out a little bit. So this here is the start of things.

    Wish us luck.
