  1. woo hoo Happy Birthday @Tika
  2. Yeah - we sent invitations / emails to the contact details we had for both of you and so Jin had plenty of time to stake their claim on the Northlands before you got here... but you were the one who chose to sign up. We are grateful and we missed you. *huggles*
  3. But you didn't wear a tie today either @Timberwolf - and the kids aren't even there today. What does he need a tie for?
  4. sick of Thailand sick of myself
  5. Great non ending @Songmistress. Not sure about the back mica business but life sure isn't as easy as they made it seem when I was a kid. What sucks is that grown up doesn't feel anything like as stable as it looked back then. Life is hard, like granite... but not black. More like slate grey granite with some pockets of sparkling quartz. The geology of life. Heh. At least love is really fucking powerful. Life saving. Thank you @Timberwolf and @Songmistress and @Squarepeg and all the other people who love me and make it bearable. Thank you for your stories too.
  6. Cool, I look forward to it
  7. They are amazing Jamie I love them. The 6th is my favourite because of the dramatic angle and also the chiaroscuro. Charcoal is something I have never really played with much... it is super energetic and it scares me a bit, but perfect for this subject matter. I would love to do some life drawing - rather than perfect poised body parts that is haha. Can I ask a question... why no cock? I feel like it is MISSING from the male haha... are you scared of drawing willies? I guess they can be tough to get right, like noses. My noses usually are obviously over corrected and redrawn. I am sure my willies would be the same.... also I would probably make it bigger, because you know... we all have aspirations.
  8. The gardener who lives in our compound had a little chihuahua that came to visit Spike sometimes, He was really cute and cheeky and when he saw me he would always run so fast to say hi to me, like he knew I was a chihuahua-mummy and therefore would be pleased to see him. Well he hasn't been around for a while, I was scared to ask the gardener why - he also had a Shitzu and that is still around so I was worried the chi had got sick and died or sthg. @Timberwolf found out today that it was killed by one of the Thai Ridgeback guard dogs in the next door house. The owner is a rich arrogant cunt who doesn't train or control his dogs and lets them run off his property even though they are dangerous. Apparently they got out and saw Gatii and chased him down and broke his neck. Fuck stupid people and their stupid fucking dogs. My heart is breaking.
  9. oh my heart...
  10. I guess airports are secure places out of necessity, but why not interview you and allowed you to submit your BC at a later date? sorry @Squarepeg that sucks
  11. Some details about his remains http://m.washingtontimes.com/
  12. Oo exciting, East Midlands? Don't forget to let us know how it went.
  13. Yeah his final trip to the GP was so moving, such a humble little van. Tonight his body will be 'stolen' in a secret royal ceremony called 'Luk Phra Sop' that precedes the procession of his official urn tomorrow morning. I am sure there will be 1000s of people silently keeping vigil. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/detail/kingdomgrieves/30330048 http://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2017/10/24/viewing-guide-thursdays-royal-cremation/ https://www.facebook.com/ThailandHistoricalArchives/
  14. Despite the rain, despite the fact that the funeral isn’t until Thursday mourners are already gathering. They love their King.
  15. Oh definitely, I didn’t mean to make you feel a dick. I do it all the time, question people’s balance / judgement on the issues to get irate about. But in a sense none of it matters, Thai Buddhist are always very unconcerned about the news to the extent that westerners often think they are ignorant or superficial. But actually they see that ‘news’ is all a game anyway. Issues are thrown at us to distract or preoccupy us.
  16. Welcome Lord Soth! Who were you formerly? Not that that would necessarily help me because I am extremely old and forgetful
  17. It could be the big things (potential collapse of the economy / climate change) are so huge and complex that we feel safer distracting ourselves with less important issues (gender / fake news etc)
  18. Does Poldark count?
  19. Good point, stupid kids. Thanks @SquarepegI feel much better now!
  20. I have zero experience with death so I can't comment. I have never been in the room when someone died.
  21. 174.2 today so v disappointed. It is the first week so far I haven't made my goal 1.5lb /week. I am really constipated though lol so I am probably carrying at least 1lb of poop inside.
  22. I'm also still interested. Travel isn't that bad though, I do it a lot so I am pretty used to it. But yes immigration can be evil, especially if you answer the questions 'wrong'.
  23. Cute dog, cute woman. Sorry you had a shitty day @Tika (pun intended), but it’s not all death, just the end part.
  24. it's an all purpose kinda statement
